Everyone stared at Luo Ying. They wanted to see what evidence she could come up with.
“I have a camera here that Lu Yao had planned to use to frame me just now. There should be a recording in it. I’ll play it for everyone to hear,” Luo Ying said.
Lu Yao’s eyes widened when she heard what Luo Ying said. Was Luo Ying going to play everything? That would also implicate Su Ran…
Lu He patted her daughter’s back. “Go ahead. I’m not worried.”

Lu Yao shuddered violently. Luo Ying had hit the mark.
“Luo Ying, what are you doing? Why are you humiliating your in-laws?” Lu He asked.
Luo Ying laughed. Why was she getting the blame again?
“Looks like we’re at an impasse. Why don’t we leave this to the law, Aunt?” Luo Ying suggested.
While everyone fell silent, an old man’s voice was heard. “What are you guys doing here?”
Everyone made way for an elderly man to be wheeled into the room by a servant. This man was none other than Old Master Lu.
Behind him was Lu Zhao. Lu Zhao quickly walked to Luo Ying’s side and reached out to pull her into his arms.
Old Master Lu’s eyes scanned Luo Ying from head to toe. Then, he looked at the driver and Lu Yao on the bed.
“Get that man out of my sight. He no longer works for us,” he said.
His eyes stopped on Lu Yao. “Lu Yao, what’s wrong with you? Are you not satisfied with the marriage I arranged for you? Every time you start a fuss, I learn that you’re either trying to get into the pants of some small-time actor or a servant.”
“Grandfather, no, I…” Lu Yao stammered. “Luo Ying did this.”
Old Master Lu looked at Lu Zhao. “What’s up with your wife? Why is she preying on my granddaughter?”
Lu Yao was overjoyed. It seemed like her grandfather was taking her side. Her eyes lit up. “Luo Ying wanted to harm my best friend, Su Ran. I stood up for her, so this happened.”
“Is that so? Ms. Lu, why don’t we ask everyone who just heard the recording if they think so, or should I play the recording for your grandfather?” Luo Ying said with a cold smile.
Lu Yao shivered and lowered her head.
Lu He spoke up. “Lu Zhao, whoever the culprit is, I won’t hold it against you anymore. Please calm your wife down too. Today is the Old Master’s birthday banquet. We can’t disrespect him by squabbling on such a day, right?”
