While sharing the memes, these players were also chuckling and discussing the matter of Bai Fu hanging Cedric from the street lamp, with most players having one of two thoughts.
The first thought was envy.
Older players were okay; having interacted more with NPCs, they knew some NPCs were always tricking players. But new players had no idea about such things.
If Bai Fu hadn't arrived, the players inside the Ocean Life Research Institute would have been exploited by Cedric for at least another twenty to thirty days, the worst part being they wouldn't have even known they were being exploited.
But now Bai Fu was here!
Not only did she help these players kill the NPC that was exploiting them, allowing them to regain what belonged to them, she also brought them into the Silent Court.

The game had been active for several months now, with players having experienced numerous storyline events. Yet something like Bai Fu venting on behalf of players by hanging another NPC, that was truly unique.
A tumultuous and exciting storyline was compelling and impactful enough to resonate with many players, even years later.
But from a broadcast perspective, a good plot doesn't spread as quickly as a game's signature scenes or memes.
Explaining a plot takes a long time, while a signature scene or a meme just needs one picture, then it can quickly spark discussions and sweep through chat groups, forums, and video sites within a very short time.
For example, today was also a day of other 70,000 events and lastly like the infuriating golf scene from Unleashed Golf 2.
The iconic scene that Bai Fu just created became a hit due to a variety of factors stacking up, and many players started giving her new nicknames.
Names like the Savior, Street Lamp Hero, no matter how it sounds, the spread was indeed effective.
Some players even straightforwardly gave Bai Fu a nickname: "Mom!"

Those cosplaying her were some already somewhat famous cosplayers and game influencers. The reason these players were so quick was partly because her current popularity was very high—when someone's popularity spikes, naturally many people would want to catch the ride. The other reason was that her outfit was easy to cosplay.
A white shirt on top, slightly tight trousers on the bottom, the only slightly challenging items were her unique belt, tactical pouch and shoes.
Other items like the silver-white wig, firearm models, thigh straps, swords; frequent cosplayers wouldn't lack these, even if the styling varied slightly, put together, at least the form was there.
