When You Become an NPC That Might Die Any Moment in the Novice Village Chapter 228

The reaction in the Community was much bigger than Bai Fu had imagined.

When she accessed the Community, she found that new Little Bai Fu memes were already circulating, created based on the recent event, with dozens of different ones.

1. [You villain, keeping you alive only makes the rice more expensive, just hang you on the street lamp.jpg]

2. [Don't be afraid, Big Sister Bai Fu is here to rescue you.jpg]

3. [Lightning Tornado Chop (Little Bai Fu version).jpg]

4. [Little Bai Fu continuously punching another chibi character.gif]

5. [Little Bai Fu angry.jpg]

6. [Little Bai Fu spinning with a drawn sword.gif]

Because of the high heat of the recent live broadcast, a large group of players were using these memes.

While sharing the memes, these players were also chuckling and discussing the matter of Bai Fu hanging Cedric from the street lamp, with most players having one of two thoughts.

The first thought was envy.

Older players were okay; having interacted more with NPCs, they knew some NPCs were always tricking players. But new players had no idea about such things.

If Bai Fu hadn't arrived, the players inside the Ocean Life Research Institute would have been exploited by Cedric for at least another twenty to thirty days, the worst part being they wouldn't have even known they were being exploited.

But now Bai Fu was here!

Not only did she help these players kill the NPC that was exploiting them, allowing them to regain what belonged to them, she also brought them into the Silent Court.

[Damn, this is too awesome! I've been trying to get into the Silent Court without any connection. They were just standing there and Bai Fu came to them.]

[I am a hardcore supporter of the Fu Sect. When will Fufu come save me like that?]

The second thought was that it was very interesting.

The game had been active for several months now, with players having experienced numerous storyline events. Yet something like Bai Fu venting on behalf of players by hanging another NPC, that was truly unique.

A tumultuous and exciting storyline was compelling and impactful enough to resonate with many players, even years later.

But from a broadcast perspective, a good plot doesn't spread as quickly as a game's signature scenes or memes.

Explaining a plot takes a long time, while a signature scene or a meme just needs one picture, then it can quickly spark discussions and sweep through chat groups, forums, and video sites within a very short time.

For example, today was also a day of other 70,000 events and lastly like the infuriating golf scene from Unleashed Golf 2.

The iconic scene that Bai Fu just created became a hit due to a variety of factors stacking up, and many players started giving her new nicknames.

Names like the Savior, Street Lamp Hero, no matter how it sounds, the spread was indeed effective.

Some players even straightforwardly gave Bai Fu a nickname: "Mom!"

Other NPCs try to act like a player's father, grinding players into the ground, but Bai Fu was different. She not only founded the player-friendly Camp Silent Court but also personally rescued players from desperate situations. Isn't that what a great father, no, given her gender, rather a great mother... no, "mother" didn't sound right, just call her 'Mom.'

Now standing before you is Bai Fu, the loving mother from Stars, and as for a strict father, such a figure isn't needed.

[Mom, I'm hungry, I want to...]

[No, you don't want anything.]

Bai Fu hadn't actually intended to shape her image just now; she just wanted to stir up some hype, but in players' imaginations, it seemed she had shaped everything.

It was outrageous that even the smile she wore while contemplating how to fleece the players was interpreted by some as a "tender motherly warmth."

"Emmm... thinking about it, it really is quite gentle, at least much gentler than other NPCs when they fleece."

Bai Fu understood the sustainability of not draining the pond to catch all the fish.

She browsed through the Community again and found several posts that caught her eye.

What speeds from Stars! (laughs)

Those cosplaying her were some already somewhat famous cosplayers and game influencers. The reason these players were so quick was partly because her current popularity was very high—when someone's popularity spikes, naturally many people would want to catch the ride. The other reason was that her outfit was easy to cosplay.

A white shirt on top, slightly tight trousers on the bottom, the only slightly challenging items were her unique belt, tactical pouch and shoes.

Other items like the silver-white wig, firearm models, thigh straps, swords; frequent cosplayers wouldn't lack these, even if the styling varied slightly, put together, at least the form was there.

[This cosplay doesn't look much like Fufu, the shirt doesn't puff out like hers]

[Stuff it a bit, using props as padding is not a bad thing]

[It's time for MMD masters and skilled artists to step in!]

[Actually, rather than watching others cosplay Fufu, I'd like to see Fufu cosplay other characters, with Fufu's face and figure, it must look very good]

[Hey Dig, you're close to Fufu, can you persuade Fufu to do some cosplay? It'd be a great way to promote the Silent Court and get more players to join.]

[Oh my, that's an interesting idea! If it really happens, I'll 10 rockets to Dig.]

Bai Fu stroked her chin.

Cosplay didn't interest her, but she was quite interested in changing outfits.

Having multiple sets of clothes could give players a sense of novelty, and having attractive and distinctive clothes helped her make a deep impression on players, it also facilitated those cosplaying her to attract the attention of others.
