Carl tumbled on the ground several times. After regaining his posture, he transformed into a streak of Flowing Light, his fists engulfed in roaring waves of energy, and slammed heavily against Bai Fu's raised right hand.
Bai Fu stepped back a few times, showing no visible wounds, but a white damage number popped up above her head.
"Penetration Damage?"
Bai Fu quickly glanced at the game prompt. Carl's special Ability allowed him to convert part of the damage into Penetration Damage, ignoring the Spiritual Ability Shield.
What an enviable ability; no wonder he's a BOSS on the regional main quest hit list.
At that moment, the surrounding players raised their guns.
They did want to help, but if it was hand-to-hand combat, not only might they be of no assistance, they might actually complicate things for Bai Fu.
Without changing her expression, Bai Fu said, "Keep an eye on the others, don't let them escape!"
Carl's ability was indeed special, but his attributes still seemed a bit lacking in front of her. A mere 13 points of True Damage per hit meant he would need a full 160 punches to kill her. By that time, she would have already sent Carl sky-high.

The Combat Etiquette strong control released at the start of the fight was actually by Black Fu so that she could easily use Flowing Light to appear in front of Carl and employ Spiritual Explosion.
Carl was blasted away once more.
When he climbed up from the ground, face grimed with dirt, to his astonishment, he saw two figures, one black and one white, standing amidst the flames.
"Did I hear you wanted to break my legs, centimeter by centimeter?"
All the members of the Truth Society present were profoundly shaken, filled with immense fear.
One Bai Fu was already overbearing enough to beat Carl down; if another one showed up...
The explosion effect from Otherworldly Erosion suddenly triggered at this instant, and Carl was painfully slammed to the ground before he even understood what had happened.
Carl's nerves were subjected to a tearing agony, and he screamed as he began to draw out every bit of Qi from within his body. At this point, he had no choice but to resort to his last-ditch ability, Bursting Energy.
The erupting Qi Force caused web-like cracks in the ground around Carl's body, with the tiny particles of mud and rocks being flung high into the air.

Both she and Black Fu charged at Carl simultaneously, and upon encounter, they landed two Penetrating Guns to the face.
Carl was completely unable to dodge, forced to take the full brunt of the Penetrating Guns with his blood-charged arms, exchanging blows with Bai Fu and Black Fu.
Typically, a Martial Artist would have the upper hand in close-range combat against a Spiritual Ability Prayer Master, but as a tanky close-range Mage, Bai Fu could only smile.
You have your Qigong; I have my Spiritual Explosion. You have your Penetration Damage; I have my percentage damage. Why should I fear you in a trade-off?
The intense fight dumbfounded the nearby players.
They couldn't make out the figures of Black Fu, Bai Fu, or Carl, seeing only three shadows constantly intertwining. Amidst it all, the scattering Qi and Spiritual Energy blasted the mud, rocks, and trees around them to smithereens.
After over a dozen consecutive impacts, Carl's lifeline was relentlessly pressed to an extremely low point by the continuous Spiritual Explosions and Otherworldly Erosion.
