The noise made by Pika while driving was the loudest mockery in the Night, continuously attracting the Amoeba to charge at Pika, but that wasn't the biggest headache—the real concern was the random pollution sources scattered throughout the Pollution Zone.
Fufu had to stay highly focused to avoid colliding with a pollution source, which greatly slowed Pika's progress. Once Pika slowed, those Amoebas drawn by the sound could reach the vehicle.
One Amoeba's impact wouldn't harm Pika much, but continuous assaults from many Amoebas would be a different story.
