Harry North was about to cough up blood from that kick.
"Crown Prince, please calm down. I’ll go get rid of her right away."
"Come back." Lucas Knight’s tone seemed devoid of warmth, "I’m going away for a while this time. Best not to disturb me."
Harry held back the urge to cough up blood and respectfully asked, "Master, where are you going?"
"To accompany my wife!"
----Half an hour later----
As Eva Nightingale was watering the jasmine flowers, she said, "Little Jasmine, my husband has disappeared again." The big teddy bear her friend sent was also missing.
Heaven knows, once she slept, she slept for seven days and nights.
Having been schemed against by the Nightingale Family, her mood was already bad. She drank, lost her first time to alcohol, got married on a whim, and her husband "disappears" every few days.
She complained to herself for quite a while. Having a low IQ to begin with, she felt like she was turning into an idiot from all this anger. Oh, these eggs, she wondered how she could possibly feel good, as if haunted.
Unbeknownst to her, a man was standing behind her. After listening to her rant for a long time, his deep, narrow phoenix eyes narrowed slightly.
After watering the flowers, Eva went inside the villa.
Lucas Knight smirked, paused, and followed her inside.
As soon as they reached the living room, they heard her cry out in pain, "Ah—"
"Ouch! It hurts, it hurts!" It really hurt a lot.
Eva got pinched by a crab, the pain making her gasp in shock.
"What’s wrong?" Lucas Knight walked over. With his eyes cast downward, the crab’s claw was latched onto her fair fingertip. Even just looking at it hurt, and he felt for her.
Subconsciously, he thought that particular girl wasn’t that dumb. Sheesh, she’s beyond what you might call dumb.
Does she not know that crabs can pinch and it’s painful?
"Don’t move." Despite feeling quite annoyed inside, his tone was gentle as if to soothe her.
Tomorrow, should that crab farm be shut down? To dare bite his wife, if that crab farm doesn’t close, what will?
"You?" Eva seemed to have forgotten about the pain. Wasn’t he... missing again! Why was he like a ghost, coming and going without a trace?
Half an hour later, Eva sat on the sofa. Her hand had been disinfected and bandaged with a band-aid.
"Does it still hurt?" he asked with a hoarse voice.
This was a tone he had never used before!!
"It doesn’t hurt anymore~" she remarked and then took off the ring on her hand, "Is this... the ring you gave me?!"
"Very expensive, right!!"
The morning after they slept in separate rooms, she discovered it while making breakfast. But when she asked about it then, the more she looked at it, the more it seemed unusual; the ring was simply too beautiful.
Though she was used to seeing all kinds of jewelry before and knew the ropes, this diamond looked a lot like the Heart of the Ocean.
But why would her husband buy such a precious diamond for her?
"It’s okay," the man said.
"How much was it?" she asked.
The man frowned, his tone cold, "A little over a hundred."
To be precise, it was a hundred plus a billion and a little more.
"Oh." Was it really that cheap? She didn’t quite believe it, but he wouldn’t lie to her, would he? Oh well, Olivia doesn’t mind.
"Hubby, thank you, only... this ring is really big." She might have to find a string to hang it around her neck, right?
The man sat on the sofa, holding a cup and taking a small sip of wine.
After she said so much, he only heard one word: big.
Hmm, it is quite big. If it wasn’t big, how could he be her man!!
