Her face involuntarily blushed a little.
Her heartbeat accelerated, as if partially infected by him. Just the scent of him made her fingertips tingle.
She didn’t struggle either.
"I can eat breakfast! But you have to coax me!"
"If you eat obediently, I’ll coax you, and tell you bedtime stories every day!" he said.
"Okay." She agreed immediately, "Carry me downstairs, I can’t walk!"
"Walk by yourself." He couldn’t give her too much of a "right" to order him around.
"My legs are numb. They’re so numb and weak! I can’t walk when I see you!"
"..." He remained unmoved.
She then said, "My legs hurt!" It was true, they did hurt. She had just rushed upstairs and fell at the corner of the stairs!
Edward White finally "surrendered" to her once again, scooping her up with his large hand and carrying her downstairs.
Time rewinds to last night.
Eva Nightingale was taken to the Presidential Mansion by the man.
This high-end castle, with its strict defenses, was patrolled by soldiers everywhere.
Everywhere there were high-security infrared alarm devices.
He was originally in a bad mood, with a lot of anger bottled up inside, but just one look at her, and all the anger dissipated!
Eva soaked in the bathtub.

"..." Eva’s cheeks were flushed as she puzzled over it. The Presidential Mansion? Did he have that much power, just to bring her here?
After all, their relationship wasn’t public yet.

She struggled, trying to stand.
But she found... she was intertwined with him, and the man’s firm arms held her tightly, not letting go.

"The game is!" he said, carrying her out of the bathtub, "Truth."
