A few cards flew out from the dimensional vortex, returning to Kira’s Deck, which then shuffled itself.
Actually, as one of Jaden’s early-game quadruple fusion trump cards, Elemental HERO Electrum looks impressive, but is really only good for specific combos. Its "return all banished cards to the Deck" effect was basically made up on the spot in the anime when fighting Lyman Banner, whose ace monster’s ATK depended on the number of banished monsters. So Jaden just whipped this up on the fly.
Ignoring that, though, summoning Electrum now is extremely threatening. Its ATK is 2900, and with Skyscraper it can reach 3900—just 100 less than Obelisk the Tormentor, and higher than Kira’s BLS or Silent Magician.
Kira can’t let his opponent just fuse like that.
"Activate set card," Kira flipped a card in his back row. "Trap Card—Bottomless Trap Hole! When a monster with 1500 or more ATK is summoned, destroy and banish it."

Even the audience couldn’t help but get hyped, the duel reaching its fever pitch with a head-to-head clash as if the BGM was blazing in the background.
Then, without a glance, Kira just activated Bottomless Trap Hole.
The music came to a screeching halt. Everyone’s emotions were out of sync.
"Yeah, that’s just Kira’s style," Alexis said smiling. "That’s the kind of duelist he is."
"So, Bottomless Trap Hole’s effect," Kira said. "Electrum is destroyed and banished."
"Not so fast!" Jaden shouted. "Quick-Play Spell ’De-Fusion!’
De-Fuse ’Elemental HERO Electrum’!"
One of Jaden’s favorite tricks. De-Fusion in his hands is both a way to dodge traps, avoid attacks, and follow up with more attacks—a versatile tool he used often in the anime.
"De-Fuse Electrum, and Special Summon the Fusion Material Monsters from the Graveyard!"
Electrum glowed with four colors, dispersing from the trap. Its body split into four, beams of Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind landing on Jaden’s field.

Jaden played a Spell Card.
"Spell Card—’Hero Flash!!’
By banishing ’H – Heated Heart,’ ’E – Emergency Call,’ ’R – Righteous Justice,’ and ’O – Oversoul’ from my Graveyard!"
The HERO letters appeared behind him, then faded away in golden light.
Kira frowned slightly.
He’s actually using this?
E and R were both used earlier in the duel, the other two must have been milled—maybe just now by Card Blocker.
"’Hero Flash!!’ effect: Special Summon an ’Elemental HERO’ Normal Monster from the Deck."
Jaden searched out the only one of the five basic HEROes not yet summoned.
"Come on out, Elemental HERO Sparkman!"

This was Jaden’s first time using this move—even his friends were surprised. Syrus was puzzled: "He summoned all five basic HEROes at once, but none of their ATKs can break through Kira’s field..."
"Hero Flash has another effect," Jaden quickly explained with a grin. "This turn, all ’Elemental HERO’ Normal Monsters on my field can attack directly!"
The duel arena erupted again.
All can attack directly!?
The four basic HEROes’ comeback?
Except Bubbleman, all four basic HEROes can attack directly, bypassing the opponent’s monsters. If all attacks connect, that’s 4600 direct damage.
Elemental HERO one-turn kill!
"Go, my HEROes!" Jaden punched the air. "This is my beloved HEROes’ soul attack—feel my fiery passion, Kira!"
The four HEROes charged forth, trailing different colored storms of earth, light, fire, and wind.
Silent Magician tried to intercept, but each HERO used their own skill to dodge—Burstinatrix faked her out, Avian flew overhead, Clayman dug underground, and Sparkman turned into pure electricity.
Silent Magician could only look back at her master, apologetically.
"Trap Card—Defense Draw," Kira said. "During your opponent’s turn, at damage calculation: Make the battle damage you take from this battle 0, and if you do, draw 1 card. I’ll negate Sparkman’s damage."
Sparkman’s attack fizzled against an invisible barrier; Kira drew a card.
"He blocked one, but here come three more!" Jaden said.
Burstinatrix unleashed her flames.
"Then, from the Graveyard—’Kiteroid’s’ effect," Kira said. "Once per duel, while in the Graveyard, make battle damage from a direct attack zero." (Anime effect)
A phantom barrier appeared, nullifying Burstinatrix’s fire as well.
"One of the five cards you milled with Take Over 5?" Jaden realized.
"Correct," Kira smiled.
Three of those five milled cards have shown up—Magician of Faith, Blade Knight, and now Kiteroid. Two remain unknown.
Jaden: Whatever. Thinking’s never been my strong suit anyway!
"Then, two more direct attacks!" Jaden called. "Avian and Clayman!"
The two weakest HEROes, but still have 1800 damage combined.
Just enough for a kill!
"From the Graveyard—’Necro Gardna’s’ effect," Kira said. "During the opponent’s turn, banish it to negate one attack.
I’ll negate Avian’s attack."
Avian’s attack was nullified by Necro Gardna’s shield.
Jaden: "That’s another block... Then Clayman’s direct attack!"
Clayman charged and finally landed a hit; Kira caught the blow with his Duel Disk, staggering back.

"Finally landed one!"
Jaden didn’t seem discouraged at all.
"As expected from Kira—flawless defense. But you’ve used up most of your lifesaving tricks, haven’t you?"
"True," Kira admitted with a smile.
"Then I’ll set three cards and end my turn."
Jaden set three cards in his back row. After his play, he paused for two seconds, then looked up.
"Say, Kira, up to now in this duel—have you been having fun?"
