Witch, Fireball and the Evil God of Steam Chapter 178

He probably broke a few ribs, and his internal organs suffered varying degrees of trauma.

But at least, he saw hope for survival. As long as he could return to the imperial capital and seek treatment from the church, these injuries wouldn’t be a big deal, and a few days’ rest would suffice for recovery.

As for those knights and priests trapped in the encirclement, once he returned to the capital, their spirit of sacrifice would be sung.

Gradually, the sounds of battle were no longer audible.

Abaddon continued forward along the path he came from, traversing through the snowfield filled with dismembered limbs.

Soon, he heard noises ahead, and taking a few more steps forward, he saw a fully armed group of adventurers. They appeared stunned by his appearance and the bloody state he was in.

"Hurry, I’m Abaddon, commander of the Knight Order! We were ambushed by Bigfoot; I order you to go and support immediately!"

It is a special time now, and he has the power to enforce recruitment!

The adventurer team immediately took a few steps back; something was quite wrong — they had certainly heard of Abaddon’s name, designated by the church as the next Knight Commander. Even though opposition voices have never ceased, Abaddon, for better or worse, is a high-tier knight of the Neseriel Sanctuary and a veteran of countless wars.

They couldn’t fathom what kind of Bigfoot could make Abaddon look so disheveled.

"What are you still standing there for? Get moving now—"

Abaddon wanted to say more but was suddenly frozen by the sight in front of him.

He clearly saw a huge silhouette appear behind the adventurer squad. It had deep blue fur and was much taller than an adult snow monster, roughly estimated to be at least over ten meters tall. More terrifying was that he hadn’t noticed when this creature appeared.

There has never been a record of such an individual, even in invasion campaigns.

The monster looked down at these insignificant humans, eyes full of contempt — this well-equipped squad had only time to let out a scream before turning into a bloody mist under the monster’s palm.

In an instant, only Abaddon and the giant Bigfoot creature remained facing off.

Abaddon took several steps back, trying to make his tone friendlier, "We mean no harm, we didn’t intentionally trespass into your territory. Just let me go, you need food, right? If you let me go back, I can..."

The ground shook, and in the blink of an eye, the giant creature was in front of Abaddon with a speed he couldn’t comprehend.

The last thing he saw was the sharp claws of the monster swinging towards him.

Abaddon’s mind paused briefly. On the edge of life and death, he seemed to hear a sharp screech, whether it was an illusion or not.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

"Strange, this is some kind of belief totem."

Lindong stood on the towering altar, inspecting the ice-blue runes she had never seen before. This was a typical Evil God’s ritual site, but the ceremony wasn’t arranged by Evil God’s Followers but by a group of Bigfoot creatures. She was seriously doubting if these foolish beings could understand the significance of these runes.

This is the Bigfoot village, near the frozen ice river, with no houses, only outlining the village’s perimeter roughly with ice blocks, stones, and massive logs.

Compared to such a crude method, this altar didn’t appear to be the work of Bigfoot creatures.

She explained to Ethan, "These Bigfoot creatures are just like those followers of Old Ba you encountered earlier. The ritual altered their bodies; individuals of this size had never appeared before. What’s more peculiar is, they’ve learned elemental magic."

The three were immediately attacked by these giant Bigfoot creatures as they approached the village.

They could gather huge snowballs, but their intelligence was limited, attempting in vain to attack the Lindong Witch with ice magic in the northern territory.

The enormous snowballs struck themselves, and amidst wails, towering ice spikes pierced through their bodies, skewering these giant creatures and forming a maze covering hundreds of meters, wiping out the roaring creatures in the village at a glance.

Lindong never had any fondness for these monsters.

"Do they also worship some Evil God?"

Clearly, this isn’t Old Ba’s style. If it were Old Ba, these Bigfoot creatures would have been transformed into flesh creations resembling the Giant Divine Soldier. Whereas the mutants he saw in these Bigfoot creatures were only twice the size, with varying fur color, yet still recognizable as the same species.

Just like an elite monster in the game with an additional ’snowball throwing’ skill.

"At least not Old Ba, He doesn’t like foolish souls."

Lindong checked the peculiar runes on the altar again, which touched upon her knowledge blind spots. It didn’t align with any markings from Evil Gods she had seen, "Usually, the power granted to followers correlates with the essence of the Evil God; the issue here is that Elemental Shapers never worship divinities, and Ice Elementals have no corresponding Divine Spirit."

In fact, Ethan had already asked the Ice Elemental Elves lingering around here, who cluelessly revealed that they know nothing.

Rowena, sitting in an electric wheelchair, glanced around the two for a long time, expressed her views as a neutral observer, "Is it really not you two who did it? Why do I feel each of you is more suspicious than the other?"
