Witch, Fireball and the Evil God of Steam Chapter 291

After several days of interaction, the Little Octopus gradually figured out Teacher Cat’s temperament.

Most of the time, Teacher Cat had a good temper, with the exception usually being when someone tried to mess with her or Old Sen.

The Little Octopus thought Teacher Cat’s good temper mainly stemmed from her indifferent attitude towards most things, spending whole days dazing off in front of a bowl of fruit when idle.

The misunderstanding was resolved.

As for Old Sen, ever since they boarded the ship, he had been acting a bit strange, occasionally muttering things that the Little Octopus couldn’t understand.

However, Old Sen’s greatness was undeniable; he was a trustworthy human.

As his mother put it, Old Sen was so reliable that you could comfortably entrust your child to his care.

Every morning, the Little Octopus would stretch its body, lazily sprawling on the table on the deck, silently observing Old Sen’s performance, which became a fascinating sight aboard the "Emperor’s Sword." Every morning, Old Sen seemed to transform completely, displaying an air of theatrical performance.

This was the ever-changing Old Sen, and the Little Octopus silently gave Ethan a nickname in its heart.

"Oh, omnipresent Wind Elf, use your power to light up my path ahead!"

Before dawn, the Little Octopus heard a voice coming from nearby.

Ethan was standing with his back to it, facing the sea, as if reciting poetry.

The sea breeze seemed to grow somewhat stronger.

After completing a theatrical performance, Ethan at the bow of the ship once again fell into brief silence, muttering, "Looks like the Wind Elemental Elf doesn’t have a dramatic flair."

Another wrong answer eliminated.

His proficiency in Wind Blade was stuck at level 2, and even if he continued to cast Wind Blades into the sea, he couldn’t improve anymore. This was the most frustrating time in his journey of learning element magic, unable to emotionally resonate with the wind element.

Using the affinity theory he proposed, he and the Wind Elemental Elf maintained a level of an ordinary classmate relationship, seeing each other daily at school and greeting with a nod upon encountering outside, but they wouldn’t initiate conversations or engage in deeper interactions.

Teacher Cat couldn’t help with this.

Teacher Cat’s theory wasn’t omniscient; in fact, aside from the ice element, her understanding of other element elves was limited to a "classmate’s perspective," just like her assessment of the electric elements differed greatly from the true Electric Elemental Elf.

Having eliminated the label of "dramatic," Ethan once again lost direction.

After he finally took advantage of most on the ship being asleep and performed such a play on the deck, the Wind Elemental Elf merely nodded to him politely, seemingly expressing confusion but respect.

It was the last day of the voyage.

As the first ray of sunlight shone upon the "Emperor’s Sword," the outline of the Imperial City Port faintly appeared in the distance.

Uerta got up very early today, and was already in a state of excitement.

Originally, he planned to return to the tribe and tell everyone about what happened to Ophira, but upon learning that Ethan and others were returning to the Imperial Capital, he requested to accompany them.

The Empire, an old powerhouse, known even to their deep-sea species to some extent, although the Empire generally doesn’t welcome demi-humans, considering their appearance, an in-person visit would undoubtedly lead to being taken for interrogation as suspicious individuals.

After breakfast, Uerta just stood at the bow, eagerly gazing at the Imperial City, and the Little Octopus felt Uerta’s mood, perched on his shoulder.

The Little Octopus knew that this city would be their home in the future, where it would live with humans for a long term. Read full story at noⅴelfire.net

Compared to the city of steam and gears, what kind of scenery would the Empire’s capital provide?

With such beautiful expectations, the octopus face and the Little Octopus looked on fervently.

The port was getting closer, and they saw the people waiting at the Empire’s port, dressed completely differently from the Ophira folks, much more resplendent and luxurious. Just one glance gave an impression of opulence. Yet, the biggest difference wasn’t the clothing, but that most of the Imperial Capital People...were sitting in wheelchairs!

Several question marks popped up above Uerta’s head, seeking help from Ethan with a puzzled look.

He saw various types of wheelchairs.

Manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, wheelchairs with two chairs combined, and even ones that looked very stylish – wheelchair cars.

When the "Emperor’s Sword" sailed into the Imperial City Port, Queen Margaret gracefully descended from a black wheelchair car, holding her skirt, and a young girl with long hair, dressed in a white princess-style gown and adorned with dazzling headgear was seated in the back, though this couldn’t suppress the tuft of golden hair similar to Ave’s poking out of the top.

The Empire people had limited mobility, especially the nobility.

The Little Octopus remembered this characteristic of the Empire people.

The Queen and the Princess hadn’t made it far before they were presented with new wheelchairs to sit on.

Ethan and others were also shocked by the scene before them, their minds racing with thoughts.

During the time away from the Imperial City, what exactly had happened to this city?

Could it be the Evil God?

Did it attack the Empire while they were away, causing everyone to suffer from a strange ailment preventing them from walking upright?

Ave watched in wonder as a girl about her age skillfully maneuvered a wheelchair towards her, expertly avoiding obstacles along the way. She seemed like a seasoned driver with over five years of wheelchair handling experience.
