Xia Nuannuan lay on the rug, listening to Shen Zichuan’s steady breathing as he slept.

An awkward silence. Shen Zihao cleared his throat and continued, “Well, then, I—”
Suddenly nervous, she quickly interrupted him, “Mr. Shen, I- I don’t need you to take responsibility.”
Didn’t need him to take up the responsibility?
The handsome man raised an eyebrow as his gaze fell on his wallet once more. His lips turned upwards into a smile. “2,000 for a night. It’s not expensive, but it’s not cheap either.”
Xia Nuannuan froze upon hearing his words.
She stood on the balcony in Xia Yehua’s ward, her eyes staring ahead blankly.
She bit her lip as her fingers curled tightly around her cell phone.
So, was that the sort of person he thought she was?
That she had taken his money after he slept with her?
