Tang Mo’er’s ears were thrumming at a million miles a second and she was in a state of disbelief, not even knowing how she got out of the cafe in a calm state. The cold wind outside blew at her so strongly, it was as if they were knives piercing her body. Stretching out her arms, she hugged herself to try and give herself some warmth.

Tang Mo’er’s face had by now, turned extremely pale, it was so pale of had become paper white. The sweetness of their love was still prevalent yesterday, but now it had been turned into the biggest mockery. She almost wanted to laugh at her own ignorance.

“Hello.”
“Where are you now? Why aren’t you home?” The man said a tone that voiced his apparent displeasure.
“I’m at Hua Hai Square. Come and find me.” Tang Mo’er hung up without saying anything further.
Five minutes later, a Rolls-Royce Phantom stopped at the side of the road. Gu Mohan opened the car door, got out and his eyes were drawn almost immediately to Tang Mo’er sitting by the water fountain. The fountain sprayed out water alongside the glimmering neon lights. Tang Mo’er stood alone at the corner, the evening wind blowing against her skirt and her hair saying in the breeze. As she sat alone, hugging herself, her petite figure looked even more desolate and lonely.
Gu Mohan’s heart lurched. Stepping forward, strong and reached out to hug her from behind. His soft, thin lips kissed her hair and he whispered, “What’s wrong? Who has made you unhappy?”
With those broad arms giving her warmth, she could not resist herself and leaned on him. Tang Mo’er looked at the glistening water and said, “Mr Gu, I forgot to tell you that I’m a DINK[1.Dual I come, No Kids]. I don’t plan to have any children.”
Gu Mohan’s body stiffened. Two seconds later, his palms pressed on her shoulders and made her turn towards him. His narrow eyes seemed to see right through her, staring straight into her soul. “You went to the cafe today?”
