In Nigeria you know something's wrong when you get home to meet various unknown foot wears right in front of your door.
Something's wrong. I concluded as I pushed the door open and froze for a second at the sight of the familiar faces and unfamiliar ones staring at me.
"Good evening" Lara greeted behind me and I was forced to greet too.
"Where's my-"
"Remilekun...you're back" mum charged at me like a bull. "Come and see what they've done...these evil people...come and see what they've done"
By this time, my heart was beginning to thumb faster and faster, I knew I was prepared for whatever had happened. It was rare to see mum acting all crazy like this; in fact, she only acted this way when I lost my sister to chocolate.
"Mum, what's wrong? Talk to me" I said in panic and watched as she took my hand quietly and pulled me to the sitting room where what looked a sleeping Rotimi laid on the floor, lifeless and completely covered but his face in white linen.
Oh No! no no no nooooo
"What's this?" I asked, feeling unable to take a simple breathe. "What happened?"
"They killed him ooo, they killed him and cut off his tongue, they cut off my son's fingers ooo" Mum screamed and collapsed on the floor.

"—This world is evil..arghh"
"—God will keep these remaining two children safe for you and Baba Rotimi"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I felt Lara's hands around me. "My brother!"
"Remi, take it easy, please" Lara whispered..."I know it's ... We'll report.....God!"
"Lara....my brother!"
"I really appreciate everyone for coming, but can you all please leave my house right now?" I was taken back a bit at the sound of my father's voice. I stood up and ran to embrace him.
"Daddy, I know who..."
"Shhhh" he silenced me and planted a kiss on my forehead. "I said you all can take your leave, now!" dad screamed.
"Hey...I'll come over or text you" Lara whispered. "I'm very sorry, Sir..Ma" she placed her hands on my shoulder for a brief second and left, I just cried in my dad's arms instead."

Friday made it a complete week since the brutal murder of my brother by the evil-3 and their fathers. Roland was currently in the UK studying medicine and my parents decided they weren't going to bother him with the news. They buried Rotimi three days after he died and ever since then, things hasn't been the same around the house, Mum and Dad tried to make me talk about it, They asked if I knew about Rotimi's murder but I'd decided it was best if they didn't know I knew about it, I didn't want them getting harmed as well.
I stayed locked in my room throughout the week, only coming out in the middle of the night to grab a bite, a huge part of my world had died with Timi, thankfully Mum and Dad weren't even bothering me about school, I guess they decided to let me mourn my brother as long as I wanted to. If Lara and Tomison came over, I didn't notice or care, I was numb inside to care about who came in and who didn't. I actually just wanted to die.
"Remilekun, please open the door, you've not eaten for a week now" Mum knocked.
"I've eaten, mummy, please...I just want to be alone for now"
"You need to get back to school, Remi"
What! hell no! I'll rather die!
"I'm never going back to that school, mum"
"Of course you are, I'm sure your brother wouldn't want you staying home"
No, mum. I know he wouldn't want me going back there.
"Mum, I can't go back to that school"
"Why? You need to get your life back together as hard as it might seem and all"
Only if she knows.
"Okay, mum. I'll go to school" I've got scores to settle with those three though. I'll make this term and the remaining two academic terms, hell for them. They'll regret ever messing with me, They'll pay with their blood.
"That's my girl. See you tomorrow, goodnight"

I felt a sharp pain on my cheek; it was so sharp and painful that I found it almost hard to move. I opened my eyes and screamed at the sight of the hooded masked man on top of me. I screamed louder at the pain of the knife stab on my chest.
This was only a dream, I thought. I was having a terrible nightmare.
"Please what do you want?" I asked the hooded man in my dream.
"Shut up your mouth, Remi. Next time you come to this world, you'll learn to keep your mind off other people's business," The hooded man in my dream answered.
"What are you talking about?" as soon as I completed the question, I felt a painful blow on my cheek.
"I said shut your trap" the man said and dealt me more blows. "What's this, you're bleeding, are you on your period?"
I nodded I don't know why my answer made him deal me harder blows but it did. He cursed as he kept giving me his fist.
"her father and mother are out" I heard another voice say to the hooded man.
"Tongues?" the masked man above me asked.
"All cut" the other man replied.
"Fingers?"
"All twenty off"
"Good"
"So what are you going to do with this one?"
"She knows too much and She's menstruating so her parts are useless to us"
"Let's disfigure her pretty face then" the other voice said.
"Please" I groaned out softly and screamed as I felt the cold metal connect to my face. I knew it was over, I was dead. Now I could finally be with Rotimi. They'd won, the Evil 3 had finally won. I felt myself smile as I blacked out. This wasn't a dream after all.
