The ride to the military compound was a long one. At least for Ivy, who was engulfed by the warm heater.
She tried her best to calm her breathing; however, all her efforts were in vain. Silas’s hand... kept on ’accidentally’ moving around, and she bit her lips to stop herself from moaning.

"Don’t you want to say anything?" Silas asked, his hauntingly melodious voice echoed in Ivy’s ears, burning her skin as well as the last bit of rationality left in his mind.
"Um, do you need help?" Ivy blurted out. Silas froze while Ivy cursed herself.
’Stupid! Stupid! What can you even help with? Hand? Mouth? Ugh! Stop thinking! Stop!’
As Ivy was dying from embarrassment, she heard Silas’s soft chuckle and suddenly wanted the earth to open up and swallow her.
"What kind of help can you do?" Silas, having no intention to let her off, asked.
Ivy changed the topic and asked, "Do you want to eat chocolate?"
"Sure. I didn’t know you liked chocolate flavor." Silas teased, his hand near her waist, making small circles.

She can only pretend not to understand sexual innuendos and took out a chocolate from her space.
It has been a long time since she had eaten a chocolate bar. Last time she had one was in her previous life, before her father sacrificed himself.

Ivy pursed her lips before smiling softly. Her heart was slowly melting, and she was starting to doubt her previous life.
