Chapter 291: Return To The Base
Pointing at the black flame pillar, Xiao Qi exclaimed excitedly, “That’s Captain and Sister-in-law! They are still alive!”
Qin Luzi checked his map and nodded. “They are back,” he said.
“What about the high-level zombie?” Zhang Yuan asked.
“I don’t see it on my map. Captain and Sister-in-law must have killed it,” Qin Luzi replied affirmatively.
Hearing this, Zhang Yuan let out a sigh of relief and said, “That’s good!”

“Open the gate and let them in after inspection.”

Knowing this was standard procedure, no one objected. Inside the tent, the soldiers asked them to undress and checked their bodies thoroughly.
When it was Jiao Lizhi’s turn, Jin Xuyan said, “No need to check my girlfriend. We will wait two hours before entering the base.”
Since there were no female soldiers or staff available, the inspecting soldier nodded with understanding. “Okay.”
Because he intended to wait with his girlfriend, Jin Xuyan also skipped the inspection. The two were taken to a smaller tent to rest.
Before leaving, the soldier said, “Comrades, there is some water and dry food here. If you are hungry or thirsty, please help yourselves.”
Hearing this, Jiao Lizhi asked, “Comrade, leaving water and food here like this, aren’t you worried someone might steal it?”
