As soon as Qin Youxuan finished speaking, her little tummy chimed in unpologetically.

The door to their private dining room was swiftly pushed open.
Trailing behind the returning Yao was a long procession of waitstaff, each holding trays topped with meticulously cooked dishes that they one after another brought to the table.
“Come sit next to me.”
Dan Hanjie glanced at Qin Youxuan who, in contrast, chose to sit as far away from him as she possibly could, which caused a displeased frown to furrow his brow.
“Oh.” Qin Youxuan was very quick this time, directly packing up the documents on the table. She grabbed her bag and promptly changed seats without any fuss.
Her interest shifted from Dan Hanjie to the feast that awaited her.
“Try this one, it’s a new dish.” Dan Hanjie spooned a small scoop of white pearl balls into her bowl, grinning as he watched her eyes light up with excitement. She promptly picked up her spoon and couldn’t wait to taste it.
“It’s delicious, what is it made of?”
“Cough cough cough cough…”
Qin Youxuan spat out the food in her mouth and was caught in a spasm of violent coughing.
She stared in disbelief at the seemingly indifferent man sitting beside her.
He actually served her pig’s brain!
“Your brain is lacking, so we treat form with form.” Dan Hanjie seemed to perceive her confusion, his lips pulling into a faint smile.
Qin Youxuan nearly spit out the water she had just drunk.
She was holding her breath so tight it felt like she would explode.
Her eyes glanced mischievously over the spread of food. She looked at the chef next to her and pointed a finger, “Chef, don’t you think this table is missing something?”
“Does Ying Shui Pavilion not have dishes made with sheep’s kidney, oysters, or tiger penis? If that’s not possible, I also wouldn’t mind some garlic chives.” Qin Youxuan sighed.
Everything Qin Youxuan ordered was known to boost male virility.
Upon hearing her words, not only the chef, but also the waitstaff who hadn’t managed to leave yet all froze in their tracks.
They carefully glanced back at Dan Hanjie.

This time, she fell directly into his arms.

What did she mean by reserves and running out? What was she even saying!
“It seems my performance was not good enough, it made you worry that my reserves aren’t sufficient…” Dan Hanjie drew out his words, turning Qin Youxuan.
“Ah!” Qin Youxuan was taken aback, her body pressed up against a dish at the edge of the table, nearly making contact with it.

His long fingers brushed gently across her rosy cheek, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth, “Doing what… of course, I’m trying to show you how much I have in reserve.”
