She really wanted to slap herself.
“Don’t worry, I’ll feed whatever I have to your little mouth below, I’ll make sure you’re well fed.”
Qin Youxuan’s legs went weak, hardly able to stand.
With her hands tied behind her, she couldn’t get up. All she could do was plead in a soft voice, “Hanjie, this is a restaurant…”
“I’m really hungry. I mean, my stomach is hungry.”
“How about we wait until we get home? You can do whatever you want then.” Seeing him unmoved, Qin Youxuan decided to take the plunge.
“Fine.” A glint appeared in Hanjie’s eyes as he pulled her up from the dining table and held her in his arms.
He then moved back and sat on his chair.
Still holding on to Qin Youxuan’s waist, he refused to let go.
“How can I eat when you’re holding me?”
“I’ll feed you. I’ll feed your upper mouth during the day, and your lower mouth at night.”
She really lost her appetite, wanting to slap herself.
Throughout the meal, Qin Youxuan tasted nothing.
She was light-headed with all the risqué jokes Hanjie was throwing out from time to time.
As they left the private room and passed through the Ying Shui Pavilion lobby, they were the center of attention.
The waitstaff who just left the private room looked at her with eyes full of sympathy…
“Hanjie, this isn’t the way home. I have a department meeting this afternoon, I can’t skip work.” Qin Youxuan glanced out of the car window and her senses quickly returned.
“What if I told you that someone is secretly buying Qin Group’s stocks, would you still want to go back?”
Qin Youxuan was startled for a moment, “You mean Jin Chenye?”
Hanjie remained silent.
Qin Youxuan quickly fell silent too.
Ever since Jin Chenye mysteriously told her he would vie for the Qin Group, she knew he would do something. But she did not expect him to act so fast.
Was he acting so decisively because he was genuinely capable, or was it a long-established plot?
Either way, this was not the Jin Chenye she thought she knew.
The one she knew was a gentle, polite, and humble gentleman who would protect her unconditionally, indulging her whims, and always firmly standing beside her, not the one who considered her a murderer without even questioning her.
The car soon stopped in front of the towering Dan Group building.
As Qin Youxuan followed Hanjie back into the building, it felt like a different era.
Just over a month ago, it seemed she was holed up in his office desperately cramming information about the Qin Group, firmly believing that with her own efforts, she could protect her inheritance.
She kept reminding herself to keep her distance from Hanjie.
Yet, just over a month later, she had become his woman, accepting his protection.
Were things changing too fast, or had she fallen for him too quickly…?
Qin Youxuan couldn’t help raising her hand to shield her eyes from the glaring sunlight overhead.
However, Hanjie suddenly took her hand, drew her closer and brushed his lips against her face, “With me around, the Qin Group will always be yours.”
He thought that was what she was worried about…
Hanjie, I’m worried that I can’t see through you clearly.
She didn’t know when her attachment to the Qin Group had started to fade.
Perhaps it was because Jin Lan ended up in a vegetative state after all her clever schemes came to nothing.
Or perhaps… it was because she had a new obsession in life…
