“Do you know where she went?” Jin Chenye’s gaze sharpens, his clenched fingers subtly betray his worries.
“According to the duty secretary, she was discussing the details of a contract at Dan Group. I had someone check. Miss Qin had lunch with Dan Hanjie at Ying Shui Pavilion before heading over to Dan Group.”
The assistant paused, then spoke again.
“Boss, why not let Miss Qin know that you never intended to imprison her? Even if Dan Hanjie hadn’t forced Miss Meng to retract her statement, we had already prepared a rescue plan. At most, she would have been detained for a while, as a warning.”
Now, Dan Hanjie seems like the good guy.
