Chapter 269: The First Confrontation (Extra Update)
A white little dress outlined a woman’s slender, balanced legs.
In her hand, she carried a small pink bag, turned slightly, and her shoulder-length black hair fluttered in the wind, giving off an elegant aura.
She had a young, trendy look.
The distance was a bit far, so Qin Youxuan couldn’t clearly see the woman’s appearance or expression.
“Miss Bai.” As soon as Yao, a step slower than Qin Youxuan, got near to the window and saw the figure at the gate, he cried out, taken aback.
He turned and was about to go downstairs.
But as he reached the doorway, something came to his mind. He stopped and turned around, “Miss Qin, you can rest if you’re tired. I have some things to handle. Call me if needed.”
“Are you referring to that Miss Bai? Who is she, and why are you so nervous at her sight?” Qin Youxuan was baffled.
She had known Yao for quite a while and had never seen Dan Hanjie’s ace assistant so surprised.
It seemed that Miss Bai was no ordinary person.
And she just noticed a bodyguard carrying what seemed to be a suitcase. Was Miss Bai also moving in?
“I do not want to sleep now. Since a guest has arrived, let’s both go downstairs to take a look.” With this, Qin Youxuan left the room before Yao could react.
By the time she arrived in the downstairs hall, a bodyguard was already stepping inside with a suitcase.
The few people behind were cautiously protecting the woman in the center. One person was even carrying a parasol for her, displaying an overwhelming presence.
For some reason, Qin Youxuan had an instinctive dislike for such a noisy scene.
“Miss Qin, you might not feel comfortable here. I better take you upstairs to rest first…”
Before Yao could finish, a clear female voice interrupted him.
Bai Wei waved away her bodyguards and strode forward. As her gaze fell on Qin Youxuan, whom Yao was shielding behind him, her eyes narrowed, “Who is she?”
Qin Youxuan was stunned and lifted her head to look at her.
Bai Wei was at some distance when she got out of the car, so Qin Youxuan didn’t get a clear view. But up close, she realized they were about the same age.
She was not particularly beautiful, but she seemed clean and delicate, with no hint of aggression.
However, the domineering aura emanating from her eyes and eyebrows disrupted her overall elegance.
From the way she spoke, she seemed very close to Dan Hanjie. What was their relationship?
Only now did Qin Youxuan realise an important fact. She had never considered the possibility that Dan Hanjie might have other women…
The hand at her side involuntarily tightened.
She narrowed her eyes.
“I’m talking to you. It’s quite rude to stare at people without saying a word. Hasn’t anyone ever taught you that? My name is Bai Wei. What’s yours?” Bai Wei frowned, glaring at Qin Youxuan.
She seemed to forget that she was doing the exact same thing herself.
If Bai Wei was a proud little rabbit in Qin Youxuan’s eyes, then Qin Youxuan was the opposite in Bai’s eyes.
Unlike Bai’s pure white, Qin Youxuan oozed a sort of wild indomitability that made her seem naturally noble and impressive without any deliberate display.
A pair of clear cat-like eyes were constantly radiating confidence, making it hard to look away.
Such a look could easily arouse a man’s desire to conquer. She was seductive yet wildly beautiful…
Despite being taller than Qin Youxuan thanks to her high heels, Bai Wei felt much smaller in comparison.
Her tone became increasingly displeased, “Are you a new servant? You are so impolite. When Jie returns, I’ll make sure he fires you!”
