Chapter 271: Who are You to Control Me
“I’ll go back to my room first. If he comes back, remember to let me know,” Qin Youxuan thought about it for a moment and then instructed.
Seeing Yao nod, she turned and went upstairs.
Just as she reached the staircase, she saw Bai Wei standing next to the master bedroom.
This time, Qin Youxuan didn’t pay her any attention. She glanced at the bodyguard who was still following Bai Wei’s instructions to move luggage, and then she went back to her room.
As soon as she got in, she locked the door, walked over to the big bed, and threw herself onto it.
The words that Bai Wei had just said kept echoing in her head.
She was the first one who could make Dan Hanjie fall asleep…
Why did Bai Wei say that? Did he have some hidden illness?
Dan Hanjie had once said that she was his cure. At the time, she thought he was joking. But now it seemed like he had been hinting at something.
No matter how much she protested, he always insisted on cuddling her when they slept.
She thought that it was his way of showing affection, but just thinking about the fact that he had once held another woman the same way, made her feel vexed.
Qin Youxuan turned over in bed, wanting badly to rush over to the room next door, to confront Bai Wei.
Yet, Yao’s earlier words of caution flashed through her mind.
“Calm down, you can’t just let your imagination run wild… It’s definitely not what she made it out to be…”
She was not a replacement, absolutely not.
Even if Dan Hanjie needed her, it certainly wasn’t just for utilitarian reasons.
With her hands on her face, Qin Youxuan buried her head back on the pillow.
The sudden knocking sounds startled her.
After thinking about it, she remembered that she had locked the door from the inside.
She got up from the bed, smoothed down the crumpled clothes she was wearing, and walked to the door to open it.
Her eyes met with Bai Wei’s, standing outside the door, and her pupils tightened.
Instinctively, she wanted to close the door but held herself back.
No matter who she was, Qin Youxuan was sure that she had ulterior motives, but she couldn’t show weakness.
“You actually live in Jie’s room, who allowed you to approach Jie so freely? Jie doesn’t like others touching his belongings, don’t you know that?” Bai Wei bypassed Qin Youxuan and strode into the master bedroom.
She glanced around the room, clearly displeased with the added feminine items. She voiced her disapproval.
“Miss Bai, that question is not one you should ask me. I believe you know better than me who allowed me to stay here,” Qin Youxuan turned around to watch Bai Wei’s self-directed and self-performed act, frowning slightly.
This was Yujing Villa, Dan Hanjie’s territory. If he didn’t agree, she wouldn’t be able to step in, let alone live in the master bedroom.
Bai Wei asking seemed very deliberate.
“You…” Bai Wei didn’t expect Qin Youxuan to be so blunt, and was speechless.
It was because she knew, that’s why she was so irate.
How could an unknown woman be allowed to stay by Jie’s side!
“Miss Bai, you just got off the plane, you must be tired now. If there’s nothing else, why don’t you go back to your room and rest,” Qin Youxuan pressed her temples, not liking these roundabout conversations.
“Who told you I was tired? What if I don’t want to sleep? Why should you care!” Bai Wei retorted aggressively, glaring at Qin Youxuan with intense hostility.
Qin Youxuan smiled, “Miss Bai isn’t tired, but I am. I don’t have the energy to chat with strangers. I would like to rest now, please, feel free.”
After saying those words, Qin Youxuan paid no heed to Bai Wei’s murderous gaze. She walked towards the bed and readily lied down.
Bai Wei was bothered by the fact that she was staying in Dan Hanjie’s room, well then, she was going to stay. Not only stay in the room, she’d also sleep in his bed. Once Dan Hanjie returned, she would possess him completely, too!
