She really didn’t want to lie to him but she had no choice. She was scared.
Swiftly, the colour drained from Dan Hanjie’s face, his expression threatening like a storm brewing. Before she could explain, he turned his head and bit her.
Qin Youxuan gently shoved him, trying to escape.
When he didn’t budge after a few attempts, she impulsively bit his shoulder in retaliation.
Dan Hanjie inhaled sharply, clutching her tiny frame as though he could merge her into his body.
No one knew how long their entanglement lasted before it finally ended.
Amid the squabble, Qin Youxuan’s vexation seemed to have lightened a lot.
She remembered the earlier argument with Qin Mo but it didn’t hurt as much anymore.
If possible, she would rather be an orphan than living in a loveless family.
