Qin Youxuan cautiously watched him for a few seconds, confirming that there was no excess emotion in his eyes, before slowly moving towards him.
Dan Hanjie reached out and pulled her into his arms.
“Sleep, I’m here.” His magnetic voice carried a subtle hint of indulgence, his long fingers stroked her slightly red eyes, and he lightly placed a kiss on her forehead.
Qin Youxuan felt a pang in her heart, and her throat suddenly choked up.
She lowered her gaze silently.
She had been kicked out of her home…
“Dan Hanjie, was your dad good to you?”
Dan Hanjie froze, and looked down at her unexpectedly.
“I just don’t understand, isn’t it said that every child is brought into this world by God, and they are all the treasures of their parents… why is my dad different.”

The steady sound of breathing came from next to her, as Dan Hanjie looked on, his handsome face showing depth and dimension.
His long fingers pressed against Qin Youxuan’s furrowed brow, gently smoothing her wrinkles, his voice low.
“No matter whose daughter you are, it’s not your fault…”
Qin Youxuan was awakened by rumblings of her own stomach.
She sat up on the bed, rubbed her sleepy eyes and looked around the empty room, then looked down at her clothes, feeling a sense of disorientation.
Once she came to her senses, she immediately got out of bed and looked around the unfamiliar environment.
This looked like a lounge.
Every decoration had Dan Hanjie’s style, but the surroundings were very unfamiliar…
Qin Youxuan hesitated for a few seconds, then quickly ran to the door and opened it.
Seeing the man sitting at the desk, she finally let out a sigh of relief.

“Is this the Dan Group?”
Qin Youxuan glanced around the large, modern office, her cat-like eyes blinked, utterly confused.
Wasn’t she sleeping at Yujing Villa? How did she end up here?
“Hmm,” Dan Hanjie only gave a monosyllabic answer and didn’t explain why he couldn’t bear to leave her alone in the Yujing Villa. Instead, he simply brought her along.
He reached over and picked up a letter from the desk and placed it up front, with a brief explanation, “This is a notice from the court. It is a request for re-examination for Jin Lan’s case.”
