Chapter 319: Have I Spoiled You Too Much?
“If you don’t want to smile, don’t. It’s very ugly.” Dan Hanjie stared at her face and parted his lips in disgust. His big hand grabbed her cheek and gave it a hard pinch.
Qin Youxuan almost burst into tears from the pain.
She put her hand to her face.
Did she look ugly when she smiled?
It must be his bad eyesight…
“Dan Hanjie, let go of me, let me get up.” Qin Youxuan glanced and noticed that she was now completely laying on him, pressed tightly against his chest.
His uninjured hand was still stroking her waist, occasionally pinching a chunk of her soft waist.
He was acting undisciplined even though he was ill.
“You’re so keen on doing Yao’s job, do you want me to fire him?” Dan Hanjie raised an eyebrow, his voice sinking, full of threats.
His charming face had a fleeting look, making it hard to tell if he was joking.
Qin Youxuan blinked her cat-like eyes, and obediently lay on him without moving.
She could still tell if he was actually angry.
It was good that he was willing to stay in the hospital. It was okay to indulge him a bit.
She didn’t want to see him bloodied and motionless again…
It took two days for Qin Youxuan to understand.
He was physically in the hospital, but his heart was still at work.
In the VIP ward, the original furnishings were entirely removed.
A big bed replaced the old one, and, aside from that, everything else was rearranged according to the layout of Dan Hanjie’s office.
Even on the desk were stacks of documents.
Dan Hanjie was leaning against the head of the bed, a small table in front of him, scanning through documents at a rapid pace. Occasionally signing them and passing them to Yao at his side.
Yao took the document and placed it aside before handing him another.
Qin Youxuan, off to the side, was holding a plate of fruit. A few times she wanted to tell him to take a break, but found no chance.
Her hand was going numb.
The plate in Qin Youxuan’s hands was not held steady and fell heavily to the floor.
The fruit from the fruit platter scattered at her feet, a complete mess…
“Are you hurt?” Dan Hanjie quickly dropped his pen, rushed to her, and checked her from top to bottom.
Meeting Qin Youxuan’s calm cat-like eyes, his hand paused.
Shouldn’t this be her question?
A lump formed in Qin Youxuan’s heart, she shook his hand off, turned around and walked towards the door.
Dan Hanjie bellowed at her retreating figure.
This was the second time.
The second time she just turned and left in front of him.
The first time was because of their child, what about this time?
It was completely inexplicable.
Just as Qin Youxuan reached for the doorknob, her body was pulled back by a strong force, pulling her directly back in front of the bed.
She was tossed onto the bed.
Qin Youxuan was about to say something, she saw Yao out of the corner of her eye and held her tongue.
She glared at him with cat-like eyes.
“I’ll leave first.” Yao respectfully bowed, and hurriedly fled the battlefield.
“Have I spoiled you too much that you dare to be this disrespectful?” Dan Hanjie bent down, ferociously bit her lip, and only stopped when he saw her eyes turn red.
He propped himself up with one arm, not letting his body press on her.
Qin Youxuan’s throat tightened, a bit choked.
She pushed him away, sat up from the bed, her gaze calm.
She missed the chance to burst out in anger and fell back into her cool demeanor.
Dan Hanjie’s fist crunched in anger, grinding his teeth.
Even when the strain caused his palm wound to reopen, he didn’t stop. The wound that had just started to heal was popped open again, blood seeping out.
