Watching fear flicker in Qin Youxuan’s eyes, he slowly closed his own.
In a hoarse voice, “Ask Yao to arrange the discharge.”
The topic shifted so quickly that Qin Youxuan was stunned for a moment.
By the time she recovered, Dan Hanjie’s cold demeanour had completely dissipated. He wore a faint smile, as if what he had just said was a soft whisper of love.
“Your hand hasn’t healed…” In fact, it had gotten worse.
His wounds must have burst open.
“Have the doctor rewrap it, then we’ll leave.” Dan Hanjie nonchalantly glanced at his bloody wound.
Such a minor injury barely registered for him.
He had willingly stayed in the hospital for two days simply because he didn’t want her to worry.
Now, it was time to leave.
Qin Youxuan understood the look on his face, her eyes flashing, she bit her lip and remained silent.
His sudden suggestion of leaving the hospital was likely his way of avoiding the conversation…
Yao was indeed a capable aide.
No sooner had Dan Hanjie given the command than the doctor rushed into the VIP room to clean his wound and apply medication.
Then they were discharged.
Other than repeatedly warning Dan Hanjie not to exert pressure with his hand, the doctor didn’t dare speak another word.
Finally, respectfully he asked, “Mr. Jie, do you have any other instructions?”
Qin Youxuan stood nearby, her eyes wide with shock.
Since when do doctors listen to patients’ orders…
She didn’t want to continue studying law. She wanted to study theology because the world had become magical.
“Mr. Jie, everything in the villa has been taken care of. However, Miss Bai has been insisting on going to the hospital these last few days. We have not allowed her to leave the villa and she has been throwing quite the tantrum.” Yao reported respectfully.
His usually stoic face showed a hint of exhaustion, indicating how troublesome Bai Wei could be.
Remembering Bai Wei, Qin Youxuan finally understood.
She wondered why Bai Wei hadn’t appeared in the past few days, she was being confined by Yao.
Surprisingly, Yao, who was normally respectful to Bai Wei, wasn’t gentle when he took action.
Qin Youxuan wouldn’t admit to feeling a bit wicked. She was just pleased that someone had stood up to Bai Wei after she’d slapped her and she hadn’t retaliated. She felt secretly delighted.
“Let her know, if she doesn’t want to stay in this country, I can arrange for her to go back to America to recuperate at any time.”
Dan Hanjie’s calm statement, noticing Qin Youxuan’s concealed joy, raised an eyebrow.
“What are you so happy about?”
Dan Hanjie was more ruthless than she had expected. One sentence from him could choke Bai Wei.
Bai Wei had exerted much effort to stay in the country even though it harmed her health. She would probably vomit blood from anger if she were sent away for such a trivial matter!
“Start the car.” Dan Hanjie retracted his gaze and spoke softly.
He reached out to pull Qin Youxuan into his arms.
“The doctor said you can’t exert force with your hand, I can sit by myself.” Qin Youxuan moved a little toward the car door away from him.
Dan Hanjie looked at his empty arm, furrowing his brows.
Before he could say anything, Qin Youxuan was already looking at him, pointing to her little finger, “I just heard the doctor say, you mustn’t use your hand to exert force.”
“Really, if you don’t believe it we can go back in and ask…”
“Qin Youxuan, if you keep nagging, I’ll sew your mouth shut!” Dan Hanjie growled in frustration.
