Chapter 329: I Am Your Justice
Dan Hanjie’s deep black eyes lingered on her face, confirming that she wasn’t thinking about Jin Chenye, before he started the car again.
They returned to the Dan Group.
As soon as they entered his office, Qin Youxuan automatically took a seat on the sofa.
The corner of her eye caught sight of the court summons that had been delivered to her not long ago, and her eyes dimmed.
And then her thoughts drifted to that scene in the courtroom…
“The Qin Group’s stocks are going to crash in the next few days. If you want to see Jin Lan get what’s coming to her, you don’t have to rush,” Dan Hanjie’s cold voice reverberated in her ears, and Qin Youxuan looked up at him subconsciously.
She relaxed her clenched hands a bit.
“You saw this coming all along, didn’t you? I was so naive, thinking that the law could reveal the truth and give me justice,” Qin Youxuan laughed bitterly, but her face became even brighter with her smile.
Dan Hanjie felt a flicker of unease.
Her reaction was calmer than he had expected.
No crying, no fussing, not even a hint of outrage about the injustice of the law.
She just calmly accepted the truth, then mocked herself…
“I’m here, I am your justice,” Dan Hanjie stepped forward, pulled her petite body into his embrace, felt her trembling, and held her tightly.
“…Thank you.” Qin Youxuan, held in his arms, breathing in his familiar scent, sniffled.
Again, those two words.

Why did he always find it absurd and then…unsettled, every time she thanked him?

After the excitement, Jin Lan quickly became exhausted and was sent back to her room to rest.
Meng Ziqi stood in the living room, seeing Jin Chenye just walking out of Jin Lan’s room, she approached him, “Ye, is auntie okay?”
“The doctor has checked her. She just had some emotional outburst, she will be fine after some rest,” Jin Chenye replied indifferently, his typically gentle face seeming somewhat distant. He walked towards the sofa.
“Young master, here is the coffee you requested.” The butler put the coffee on the coffee table and respectfully withdrew.
“Ye, now that auntie’s okay, you should be happy. Why are you drinking coffee? I’ve made restaurant reservations. Once auntie wakes up, shall we go celebrate?” Meng Ziqi looked hopefully at Jin Chenye.
“My mother’s health is not good, the doctor advised her to get more rest, so we won’t go. Thank you for everything that has been done today. When I’m free, I’ll pay a personal visit to thank your father,” said Jin Chenye with cold politeness.
He accepted the Meng family’s favor while not giving Meng Ziqi any further opportunities.
Meng Ziqi’s face stiffened a bit, she hesitated before saying, “Ye, are you still angry with me about the change in my testimony?”
“You were coerced. How could I blame you? If it weren’t for the help of the Meng family, it would have been hard for my mother to escape charges. I should be thanking you.”
“No need, as long as Ye doesn’t think I’m causing more harm than good, that’s enough. Also, my dad admires you a lot. If there’s a chance for us to have dinner together, I believe he’ll love to chat with you!” Meng Ziqi’s face was full of anticipation, her words filled with hidden indications.
“We’ll see, there will definitely be an opportunity,” Jin Chenye replied ambiguously. He put down his coffee after taking a sip, and stood up from the sofa, his handsome figure standing tall.
He pressed his temple, “I’m a bit tired, I’ll go rest. I can have the driver take you home.”
“There’s no need, I can go home myself. I will come back to visit auntie when she wakes up.”
