Qin Youxuan gave a stiff nod.
Looking at his gentle and handsome face, she was reminded of his tender care in a foreign land.
The past is a beautiful thing.
It evokes nostalgia, sighs, moments of laughter or tears from missed opportunities, all of which can be described by one word – the past.
Jin Chenye quickly settled the bill and led Qin Youxuan out of the café.

Qin Youxuan looked at the bustling street and the numerous shops, and then glanced at the man by her side.

“I know you like to walk around when you’re upset. Every time you run away from home after a fight, I would wonder if you came here alone. So I always came here to look for you, but sadly, never found you.”
Jin Chenye’s eyes turned deep as he looked at her. “You have changed a lot. I always thought that you couldn’t take care of yourself, but later realized that maybe, it was my presence that hindered your growth.”
Beyond these three words, she didn’t know what else to say.
She had never imagined that he, someone who disliked wandering around, would often come to such a place in the hopes that she might show up.
What kind of concern would drive him to search for a single person amid a sea of faces…
A stifling feeling welled up in Qin Youxuan’s chest, as if something was lodged there.

For a moment, everyone was worried, not understanding why Mr. Jie’s temper had worsened after he came back from his vacation.
“A bunch of useless things, you guys can’t handle even such small things and dare to ask me? What’s the use of feeding you lot? Get out!”
Another angry roar echoed from the open office door.
Then, the manager of the Business Department, holding his folder, walked out from inside with a dejected face.
His fat face was covered with cold sweat. He hurriedly left after he reached the reception area on the top floor, shaking uncontrollably, obviously having been thoroughly frightened.
“Manager Qu, you don’t look well, are you okay?” The receptionist asked with concern.
Manager Qu quickly disappeared, clutching his documents and wiping his sweat, as if he was being pursued by a beast.
