Just as he was about to head upstairs, Yao rushed in from outside.

“Miss Bai has been kidnapped!”
“What did you say?” Dan Hanjie’s eyes darkened, and he stopped in his tracks.
“As soon as our helicopter landed in the United States, we were ambushed. Our attackers were well-prepared with a clear target. We were outnumbered and Miss Bai was taken.”
Dan Hanjie kicked over a vase in the living room, shattering it to bits.
“Search. You must find out who did this!”
With a twist of his impressive figure, Dan Hanjie was the first to leave the living room.
Qin Youxuan was hugging Da Bai, leaning against the balcony railing. She vaguely watched the tall figure leaving Yujing Villa. Her gaze shifted, then regained its calmness.
It seemed Da Bai could sense her low spirits and whimpered softly, obediently curling up in her arms.
He kept licking the back of her hand with his tongue.
Occasionally, he would lift his head and lick her chin.
His pure wolven eyes stared consistently at her.
“I’m fine. I just don’t know how to face him.” Seeing the car quickly leave the villa, Qin Youxuan retreated into the balcony and sat down on the tatami mat, her face filled with helplessness.
She couldn’t tolerate Dan Hanjie’s deception and secrecy. His scheming frightened her.

Qin Youxuan tightened her grip on Da Bai, her chest tightening so much that she couldn’t breathe.
A wave of nausea hit her, and Qin Youxuan quickly put Da Bai down and rushed to the bathroom.
As though she was trying to vomit everything out of her stomach, Qin Youxuan leaned weakly against the bathroom sink, unable to straighten up for a long time.
Her face was so pale it was devoid of any color.
Seeing her standing still, Da Bai, sensing that something was wrong, kept circling around her legs.
It was only after an unknown amount of time that Qin Youxuan managed to regain her senses. She dragged her heavy feet out of the bathroom.
She made her way to the sofa and collapsed onto it.
Turning her head, she fixed her gaze on the morning glory flowers on the balcony. They swayed in the wind, their purple-blue petals looking particularly beautiful.
In just a few days, the tendrils had already crept out of their pots, their young shoots lush and vibrant.
After watching for a while, Qin Youxuan started to feel sleepy.
She turned on her side and descended into a light slumber.
In her daze, she saw a tall figure standing in front of her, talking continuously. But she couldn’t hear a single word he was saying.
