Dan Hanjie frowned slightly, falling into contemplation.

“Keep a close watch on Dan Hanxi during this period, don’t overlook anything,” he ordered.
Just as Yao was about to leave, having nodded in compliance, a knock sounded at the office door.
“Mr. Jie, this is the document just delivered by the Corporate Planning Department on a development project in Southern Brownsville, United States. They want you to review it before the meeting later, where we will vote on whether to approve this project,” announced the secretary, who respectfully placed a document on Dan Hanjie’s desk before turning to leave.
“Brownsville is just a small port town. Why would the company suddenly want to develop there?” Dan Hanjie inquired.
Dan Hanjie, silent, quickly flipped through the document. His gaze darkened at what he read.
“Mr. Jie, is something wrong?”
“Indeed, there’s nothing worth developing in Brownsville, but the old man wants to build a large factory there.” Dan Hanjie pressed his index finger on the document, his face suddenly taking on a grim expression.
Brownsville is just an unassuming commercial industrial city on the southern border of Texas. Its biggest claim to fame is that it’s right across the Rio Grande, overlooking Mexico on the southern shore.
“So, you’re saying the old chairman has already perceived something and this move is meant to establish a base in Brownsville to contain our power in Mexico?” Yao blanched.
“It’s also possible he’s merely probing.” Dan Hanjie’s gaze flickered with a glint of danger. “Regardless of which it is, we absolutely cannot let him plant a spike at the Mexican border!”

“Is everything ready in the kitchen?” Qin Youxuan looked up but asked a different question.
“Yes, everything is prepared according to your instructions, Young Mistress,” the butler replied respectfully.
No sooner had he finished speaking that Qin Youxuan abruptly stood up and ran out to the front gate, shouting, “Da Bai!”
A clear wolfish howl came from the car. The next second, a white figure leaped from the back seat, rushing towards Qin Youxuan in a swift pounce.
Knocking her to the ground, Da Bai’s moist tongue began licking her face, leaving it dripping with drool.
Immediately, Qin Youxuan was petrified.
