Ye Xiao entered the room and waited for his daughter. He was not sure how many hours have passed before Ye Jiao opened her eyes and walked to him with a weird expression.
"What is it, Jiao'er?" Ye Xiao asked worriedly.
Ye Jiao looked back at her father. "The light, I mean, Eon Energy feels warm and comfortable for me. But it feels like there's no space anymore. I'm so full even though I didn't eat anything, Dad."
Hearing his daughter's explanation, Ye Xiao laughed. "That means that you're reaching the limit of your body. Don't worry, as long as you direct them to your abdomen, you won't feel that way anymore."
"I see," Ye Jiao nodded her head in understanding. She looked at her hand for a few seconds.
"Is there anything wrong, Jiao'er?"
"Dad, I can absorb Eon Energy, so it means that I'm not a trash," Ye Jiao raised her head. "If I'm not a trash, will mom come back to Daddy?"
Ye Xiao felt that his heart has been slammed with a hammer when he heard his daughter's question. He really wanted to say 'yes' because he knew that his daughter longed for a mother's affection. However, it was impossible. After all, he understood perfectly that they never wanted him or his child.
Their real purpose was to destroy him.
She never cared for them.

Ye Jiao furrowed her brows. She extended her arm and touched her father's cheek with her small palm. "But Dad miss her."

Ye Xiao raised his hand and cupped his daughter's hand. He did miss her in the past, but once he found out of her devilish scheme, he had thrown her out of his mind. However, at that time, his heart was shattered with nothing left anymore.
If he didn't have Ye Jiao and his sister that he cared so much, he would never be able to keep living. Right now, he had gotten over her as he understood that he still had two people whom he cared so much and cared for him. They were already more than enough than that ungrateful woman.

"Besides?"
"It's nothing," Ye Xiao decided not to tell anything more to his daughter. She was still too young to know the complicated matter of adults.
Ye Jiao knitted her brows. "What is it, Dad?"
"Jiao'er, I want you to promise me one thing," Ye Xiao changed the conversation abruptly.
"What is it, Dad?"
"I want you to promise me that you'll never show to anyone that you can absorb Eon Energy."
Ye Jiao's eyes widened. Her father wanted her to stay as the trash that everyone knew as? Why? She didn't like being treated as trash every single day. It was so painful.
"Why?"
Ye Xiao's eyes showed pained expression. "Because there'll be a lot of people who want to go after you. Being a genius is not always good."
He had lived a life where he was treated as a genius. Everyone tried to get into his good side and flattered him to the end of the world. However, many people came to hate him because of the abundant attention he got. They wished to drag him down to the bottom layer.
But their power couldn't contend with him in the past.
Now that he had already stayed at the bottom layer, stuck at rank 3 for a long time, they trampled on him however they wished. They didn't see him as a threat because they knew that he would never be able to pass rank 3 after the incident they forced him to go through.
With Ye Jiao known as a trash, they didn't bother pursuing him and his daughter anymore. But Ye Xiao knew very well that they would surely come to find him if they found out Ye Jiao's true ability. Ye Jiao hugged her father back. She knew that she would have to endure the mocking and jeer from children around her age because they termed her as a trash. It was not something she liked. Not at all.
However, if it was her father's request, she would do it. She didn't want to place her father in a greater worry than what he already has. If by staying as a trash she could protect her father, she would do it. She wanted her father to be happy.
"I'll be fine, Dad."
Ye Jiao smiled brightly, trying to ease her father's worry.
"Once you have strong power, you can show them to other people," Ye Xiao added. He didn't want his daughter to live as a trash forever. Once she has enough power to protect herself, he wanted her to shine by herself and claimed back all the honor she should have.
"How strong do I need to get, Dad?"
"Rank 3, no rank 4," Ye Xiao answered. Even though rank 3 could be considered as powerful, they were nothing in front of rank 4. After experiencing the power as a rank 4, he understood this far better. If she wanted to stay safe, it would be better to aim for rank 4.
In this kingdom, the highest rank was only peak rank 4. If she could reach rank 4, he believed that no one would be able to defeat his daughter.
"Rank 4," Ye Jiao murmured. It was hard but not impossible. She closed her eyes for a moment as she understood that her path would be filled with hardship. "I understand, I'll wait until I rank 4, Dad."
"Good daughter," Ye Xiao caressed the girl's hair. "Let's go. Starting tomorrow you'll focus on moving the Eon Energy inside your body to your abdomen and circulate them in your body properly."
"Yes, Dad!"
