After a long silence, the one who broke it was their father.
Lu Changqing turned around. "Return back to your quarters."
His father walked away again while Lu Wan stayed in his place. He only lifted his head after his father was already far enough. Passing a glance towards his older brother, he headed back to his own quarters. The place was well maintained by the servants, so he didn’t bother trying to make inquiries as he returned back to his room.
Lu Su sighed at his brother’s attitude, but he didn’t say anything unnecessary. It was as if there were no words to describe the current situation at all.
The servants were looking at one another. "Do you think Master will punish Young Master Lu Wan?"
"Why would he punish him?"
"But Young Master Lu Wan left for so long without even giving any news."
"Well..." One of the servants looked in the direction where Lu Wan left. "He would be, at most grounded. Even if Master wants to punish him, he didn’t usually do it so blatantly."

"It’s rare to see you come and visit me, Lu Zhi," Lu Wan said emotionlessly.

"I see. Congratulations." Lu Wan’s voice was still emotionless. He didn’t want to care for this young girl at all.
Lu Zhi pursed her lips. "Why are you so cold, Brother Lu Wan? Aren’t you happy for me?"
"I am happy. At least, it means that you won’t come and bother me anymore," Lu Wan replied nonchalantly.
For a moment, Lu Zhi’s eyes flashed with coldness. The word that Lu Wan uttered was only telling her that he didn’t want her to be here. There was no longer any trace of care that Lu Wan used to show her every single day.
Lu Zhi pushed back the matter into her heart and picked up a bowl filled with soup that she placed on the table.
"Brother Lu Wan, how about a soup as a way to be friends again? I don’t want to be in constant clash with you," Lu Zhi said while biting her lower lips, picturing her as the white lotus that has been bullied constantly. If one didn’t know better, they might think that Lu Zhi has been wronged so horribly.
Even now, the servants were already glaring at Lu Wan secretly. If it was not for the fact that Lu Wan has an important place in this residence, they would surely dare to pick a fight directly. Unfortunately, they still treasured their lives, so they only did it secretly.
