Taking the wooden sword, Ye Jiao swung it a few times to grasp the feeling. She had been using curved bones as her weapon for the past few months to the point that she felt comfortable using it rather than a normal weapon. Of course, she would have to pick a different weapon later.
"Let's start."
Ye Jiao purposely didn't circulate her Eon Energy and made sure that she only used physical power as she withstood Mu Xin's attack. Despite saying that she had held back, Mu Xin's blow was still as powerful as ever.
From the side, Wang Jun watched the two of them calmly. If there was anything wrong, he would step in, but he found out that Ye Jiao was relatively fine under the barrage of attack that Mu Xin gave.
Tak! Tak! Tak!
Time passed swiftly as the two of them exchanged blows by blows. They didn't seem to be willing to stop even though it was already the time for dinner.
"Mu Xin, Ye Jiao, you two should stop training," Mu Hong stood on the door with his arm crossed. He knew that his daughter loved to train, but she shouldn't neglect her food because it was important.
"Yes, Father," By now, Mu Xin has managed to restrain her feelings and returned back to the aloof young woman. Her polite speech also has returned as she stopped her attack obediently.
At the same time, Ye Jiao also put down her sword. "I understand, General Mu."
"Let's go eat."
They headed to the dining room and ate together. Wang Jun also joined in the same table as he sat down beside Mu Xin.
"Miss Mu, I think that it's already enough?" Wang Jun looked at his plate, which Mu Xin filled with plenty of food, as if he wanted to cry. There were salted fish, pieces of roasted meat, fresh vegetables, and many others stacked together.
Mu Xin used her chopstick to pick up a piece of tofu. "You're going in a journey, so you have to eat a lot."

Seeing Mu Xin glared at him from the corner of her eyes, Wang Jun gave up and ate his food quietly. He quite liked the attention she gave ever since she found out that he would leave, but it felt a bit too much at times.
Ye Jiao held back her laughter as she stuffed her mouth with the food. Seeing the two of them quarreled like that, she felt that it was really funny.
Time passed slowly as they enjoyed their dinner time.
"Father, I'll sleep in the same room with Ye Jiao today," Mu Xin declared before pulling Ye Jiao to her room.
Mu Hong sighed to himself. He didn't really have much qualm if the two of them wanted to sleep in the same room because he knew that it was quite common. As a soldier, he had to sleep in the barrack and in that place, there were several people.
As long as they didn't share the bed, he didn't mind.
"They're quite close to one another," Sheng Ming commented.
Mu Hong nodded. "I don't know if it's a mistake to bring the two of them together in the past. I feel that I'm the one who dragged the two of them."
Sheng Ming shrugged. He picked up a chicken drumstick with his hand and bit it. "I don't think it's wrong for them to be close with one another. They're still young and it's normal to have close friends."
"They remind me of our friendship when we're still young," Mu Hong rubbed his forehead.
"Well, we'll spar with one another without caring for the time, creating mischief after mischief..." Sheng Ming started to recount everything that they did in the past. Compared to Mu Xin and Ye Jiao, the two of them created much more trouble and earned a lot of scolding in the past.
"They're girls, so it's normal that they won't create as much trouble as us," Mu Hong stood up. "I just hope that they won't become sworn sisters like the two of us become sworn brother."
"Why not? Don't tell me you're worried that they're going to get drunk like you," Sheng Ming grinned.
Mu Hong glared. "I just didn't want to put the two of them in a difficult position because of their differences."
In his eyes, Mu Xin would surely leave this place in the future. If she got attached to Ye Jiao, he worried that there would be a lot of problems. After all, Ye Jiao's enemies were numerous.
"Oh, you're worried for their safety?" Sheng Ming chuckled. "There's no need to worry so much. I believe that if they become sworn sisters, it's something worth celebrating."

Trying to find someone with the same talent as Ye Jiao would be hard and from the temperament that Ye Jiao showed to him, he has a lot of hope for that girl.
She will surely become someone important in the future.
While the two adults were talking, Ye Jiao and Mu Xin were preparing another bedding for Ye Jiao to sleep. They placed it near Mu Xin's bed to make sure that they wouldn't stay too far from one another.
"The bedding makes the room slightly cramped," Ye Jiao commented. "Are you sure it's fine for me to sleep here? I can sleep in the guest's room if you want."
"No way," Mu Xin refused flatly. "I want you to stay here and sleep with me tonight. After you stay in Lu Family Residence, I don't know when we're going to meet with one another again."
"Young Master Lu Wan goes to school, right?"
"He loves to skip."
Ye Jiao forced a smile out as she didn't know that Lu Wan had that bad habit. But if she thought of it again, the young man's reputation in the kingdom was extremely bad that people wouldn't be able to believe that it all pointed to one person if they hadn't heard it themselves.
Mu Xin looked at Ye Jiao. "I don't want to lose you again. You're an important friend for me just like a family member."
Family
The word caused a pain to appear from the bottom of Ye Jiao's heart. She knew that she had longed for a family again because she had lost everyone she had. Her mother and father had died, leaving her alone. She had her master and senior brother, but they were not really a family.
Perhaps, not yet.
"I really want to be a family with you Senior Mu," Ye Jiao expressed her thoughts. Even though Mu Xin seemed hard to get along at first, Mu Xin genuinely cared for Ye Jiao. No matter how much other people said that she had died, Mu Xin didn't believe it right away.
Mu Xin smiled. "Then, I'm going to be your sister."
"Is it possible?"
"We can become sworn sisters just like my father and Senior Sheng," Mu Xin smiled brightly once again. "I'll bring wine."
"Wine?"
"To seal our promise as sworn sisters, we're going to drink a cup of wine together. That's how it is normally from what I heard."
Ye Jiao was stunned to see Mu Xin run out of the room. She giggled to herself as she recalled the expression on Mu Xin's face. From the bottom of her heart, she was glad that she met with Mu Xin.
It didn't take long for Mu Xin to return back with a bottle of wine in her arm. She smiled widely.
"Let's drink and make a promise with one another."
"Ok."
Mu Xin also brought a glass with her as she poured the wine into the glass. She looked at Ye Jiao warmly.
"I, Mu Xin, swore to be Ye Jiao's sworn sister and forever protect her."
Ye Jiao also smiled warmly. "I, Ye Jiao, swore to be Mu Xin's sworn sister and never leave her."
They clinked the glass and drank the wine before laughing. Tasting the wine, Ye Jiao's face scrunched a bit. She never knew that wine would taste so bitter. Why did the adults love to drink them so much? She couldn't understand.
Thankfully, she only needed a sip before giving back the glass to Mu Xin. Afterwards, Mu Xin secretly returned the bottle and glasses because the two of them were underage.
If Mu Hong found out.... They didn't dare to imagine it.
