Duanmu Huai nodded, then he turned to Mary and Lorena.
“You two should come, too. Be ready for combat.”
Not surprised at Duanmu Huai’s command, Lorena simply nodded, clutching her thick Holy Canon. Although Mary wanted to inquire something, she obediently picked up a magic wand without saying a word.
This was a gift from Lani to Mary when she “graduated” – a Kalya Wand.
The wand appeared more like a thin sword on the outside, even having a handguard. The interior of the studio was dark, with only one oil lamp on the table. As he spoke, Jacob picked up the jacket and unfolded it in front of Duanmu Huai and the others.
“Look, this is Abraham’s clothes! I knew something must have happened to him!”
“This jacket belonged to Abraham?”
“Yes, you can see there’s a tag here that reads ‘A. Hicki,’ this is the best proof. I’ve seen him wear this jacket more than once. He wouldn’t just throw it away. Those two old beasts, I won’t let them off. They must have killed Abraham. Maybe……”
While speaking, Jacob looked towards the interior of the studio. When he saw two wooden boxes in the corner that looked like coffins, he suddenly jumped up.

But just then, suddenly, a thin, decaying arm stretched out and grabbed Jacob’s arm. The next moment, a strange, corpse-like creature burst out from the box, opened its mouth, and bit down hard on Jacob!
