In the Demon Forest, I held up the dagger and threw it.
Instantly, the magic power in the dagger was consumed all at once, and Rir, who should have been standing by at a distance, appeared in the dagger’s place.
Rir looked around, and when he realized that it worked, he squealed with satisfaction.
I also commented, “Ah, this is pretty good. It could be awfully handy to be able to call you right away if something goes wrong.”
“Hahaha, sorry about that. If I brought you along, it would have been too obvious what I planned to do, right? Well, I was only pretending to hide it as a prank in the first place, so I didn’t mean to hide what I was going to do so seriously.”
Well, people would still consider Rir a monster, so if I took him to a very crowded place like the Rogard Empire, the people around him would be afraid of him.
I searched for the Dagger of Transfer, which was used in the Rogard Empire terrorist attack, and found it in my DP catalog, so I prepared one and tried it out… It was wonderful.
The amount of magic power that must be put into it was enormous, and once it was activated, it would break down and never be used again.
In addition, there was the disadvantage that the DP required to buy per item was twice as much as my usual high-ranking recovery items, like an advanced potion, or elixir, which was already out of the norm, but it was not much of a disadvantage for me with how much DP I get per day.
I think these Daggers of Transfer would prove quite useful, so I should prepare a few dozen or so of them and keep them in my item box at all times.
I would also put them in the pouch that Illuna and the others carry, which could be used for spatial magic, in case of emergencies.
This would give me some peace of mind even if they went on a journey outside. I would have to put some magic power into the daggers beforehand to get them ready to go.
Speaking of which, the newest addition to our family was a Huge Claw Wolf.
Rir, who was taking care of him, said that the monster was quite intelligent and clever, so I called him over and talked to him about a few things.
It seemed like monsters summoned during the terrorist attacks had never been in a real battle since they were created, and had been sealed up.
According to Huge Claw Wolf’s self-consciousness, they were summoned with knowledge of the dungeon implanted in them, went to sleep for some unknown reason, and the next time they woke up, they were right in front of me.
From their point of view, it would be like being born in a few moments and then immediately being in a battle with a ridiculous monster.
Considering this, I felt a little pity for the other monsters I killed. As a monster in a dungeon, I guess you could say that it was part of their job to fight.
If only they were a little more intelligent like the Huge Claw Wolf… I would have brought them back to my home as well.
I have no idea how to seal monsters up.
I looked through the dungeon’s capabilities, but I couldn’t find anything that performed in the same way, so perhaps it was due to some kind of magic technology that had nothing to do with the dungeon.
The Rogard Empire seemed to have had a lot of research on that.
Well, to be honest, I wasn’t interested in that one, so I don’t really care. I was sure that I had repelled all the monsters within the empire, but considering the possibility that some monsters had been sealed up, it might be necessary to search for them in places that I haven’t thoroughly searched. Though, by now, I didn’t really need to get involved anymore.
I heard that the questioning of the Senate President was still ongoing, so I would expect some sort of progress in searching for any remaining hidden monsters in the near future when the information from the Senate President was brought together.
