Elaina’s blood is still boiling in anger. It’s fine if her parents and the other people who were with them tried to provoke her. It’s fine if they humiliate her as she can handle those without being hurt. It’s fine if they try to harm her physically as she can endure that without problem.
But that doesn’t mean involving her unborn children is fine as well. She might not have met them just yet as they are still developing inside her body, but they are part of her flesh and blood, body and soul. The moment they will try to involve them, Elaina will not try to sugarcoat it. If not for the fact that she managed to hold off her anger to the critical boiling point, then perhaps those people including her parents would have suffered severe injuries by now and perhaps she is now stomping their backs while they are dying.
After she displays aggression to them, Elaina slumps to the ground tired and catching her breath like she just ran a few laps around the town.
Everyone rushed towards Elaina who slowly tried to stand up again with the help of her sword to gain a footing.
"I am fine. I think I have over-exerted myself."
"Here! Have some water!" Princess Tabatha handed over a pitcher and a glass of water, which Julia snatched and immediately gave it to Elaina.
"Hydrate yourself, Sis. With this sweltering weather, you shouldn’t have exerted too much anger like that. It’s bad for the babies!" Julia lightly scolded Elaina with a tone of concern in her voice.
"Julia is right. I heard pregnant women are more sensitive during pregnancy and being too emotional or stressed might do more harm to your babies in the process," Troy said as he started wiping the sweat of Elaina and helping her stand up.
"Thanks for the concern, everyone. I would like to rest right, can you guys help me get inside the house? I think my legs are shaking..." Elaina said as she continued to huff for air.
"Yes, yes! Julia, go over to her other arm and support her properly. Julia nodded and the two helped Elaina as they slowly walked back inside. Princess Tabatha and Princess Margaux glanced at the area where the confrontation happened.
The blood on the ground that was puked out by the priest earlier dried up already but it is enough sign of what just happened. As for the ground where Elaina is standing, they noticed that two footprints are planted deep into the ground and it seems the area around it cracked as well. A few slices from the sword are also present in the area as well.

"Do you think they will come back again based on their threats earlier?"
"Most likely, yes. And the fact that I have finally seen firsthand the influence of the church, I am so grateful to Mother and Father for banning those church people from our kingdom. I thought their actions were just exaggerated, but I guess it wasn’t. Since those guys still keep on pestering our parents about their rules, perhaps telling them about their weird and baffling traditions might be a good nail to make sure they won’t be doing any of their heinous proselyting behaviors."
The two nodded, cementing the idea of the church being fully banned in the Darcero Kingdom. However, that would be in the future.
Elaina lies on the bed while Julia continues to wipe her sweat every time. She continues to breathe heavily and everyone is worried about it now.
The door opens and Troy arrives, with Doctor Fey(Not to be confused with the Feys that work on the farm) carrying a bag full of her equipment. Troy left earlier after they put Elaina on the bed as he noticed the irregular breathing process that Elaina was doing and he was worried that Elaina might be in danger which resulted in him bringing the doctor.
"There she is, Doc. Please!" Troy pleaded, worried about her sister.
"Don’t worry, I’m on it."
Doctor Fey quickly started her diagnosis and did a few actions to Elaina like casting some magic to stabilize her breathing of Elaina slowly. And to their relief, Elaina is slowly breathing normally once again. The doctor continued to do a few more things here and there before she stopped and smiled.
"She is fine now. You people can rest easy now," Doctor Fey smiled as she packed the items she used to check Elaina’s temperature and a few records.
"Just what happened to my sister for her to act like that?" Troy asked.
"Because of her pregnancy, it seems that she has overexerted herself too much. This happens if she is stressed and exerts herself beyond the threshold that most pregnant women can tolerate without hyperventilating and collapsing. It’s kind of amazing that she didn’t enter into the critical signs of hyperventilation just now seeing that she seems too stressed. Did something happen?"
Julia nodded. "Yeah, something personal happened and my Sister had to deal with it earlier."
"Yeah, if that is the case, you all should not let her do that. Fortunately, she didn’t exhaust herself in the process otherwise, it will be bad for the kids. But I must admit, after checking the results, it was like she intentionally protected the kids in her belly as she managed to hold on like that for long before I arrived. Others wouldn’t have lasted too long."
Everyone looked at Elaina who was sleeping after getting stabilized.
"Anyways, she needs to rest and make sure she will not do what she did earlier again so that she will not cause more harm to her babies. It is not a good idea to do it especially since the kids have yet to have a proper grip and develop and they can still be involved in some accidents. So please be careful and support her in any way you can to lead in bad. She is doing her best as a Mother. I bet once the two kids are also born, she will be a fantastic mother as well."
Troy smiled upon hearing this. For growing up in an abusive family, it seems Elaina has never developed the same behavior that their mother currently has. He vowed to himself that he will also do his best to help his sister in this dilemma. If her sister can do it, then obviously, he also can do it as well.
