Abyss Solo Chapter 356

"I don’t hate them, at most I understand the competition of lower-level civilizations as a way to maintain the competitiveness of the human species in a limited universe, but I can hardly speak of gratitude."

Lyu’s projection appeared nearby, and he immediately stopped talking and returned to his black box.

The examiner pondered carefully, searching through the dense tables, found several options, and after careful consideration, checked two boxes and drew a question mark.

This little guy was much more individualistic than he thought.

"Boss, the location of the Third Pioneer has been locked."

Lyu’s voice accompanied the surveillance footage on the projection screen, prompting Yang Ming to quickly adjust his state and focus on the current issue.

He had just been wondering if the examiner had started assessing him.

The questions the examiner asked were quite targeted.

On the screen, that tired young woman appeared again, walking on a somewhat dirty street, her feet occasionally skimming the shadows of hovering cars projected from the overhead transparent roadway, heading ponderously towards the low-rise residential area ahead.

Yang Ming looked at Lyu.

"Are you sure it’s her?"

"Yes, boss," Lyu explained, "she has already been locked by the Second Pioneer, and I detected that someone is already on the way here."

Yang Ming leaned back in his chair, staring at the young woman below.

Was it normal for a Pioneer to have fallen this low?

Or was she merely a puppet pushed forward?

"Boss, should we make a plan to approach her?"

"Not for now," Yang Ming said, "let’s see what measures the Second Pioneer takes first. We don’t know what consequences Pioneer confrontation might have, so we’ll use a conservative strategy now."

He paused, then laughed again,

"Rather than this woman, I’m more interested in the identity of the Second Pioneer hiding in Minter City.

"They’ve already formed their own power."

"Yes, boss," Lyu laughed, "perhaps every Pioneer was given a different opportunity by the Faya Civilization, like how you were sent to the Genetic Transformation Ship."

Yang Ming smiled noncommittally, closed his eyes, and concentrated.

"I’ll take a rest; this trip has worn me out."

"Alright, boss," Lyu laughed, "you have a good rest."

A caterpillar-tracked robot brought a pillow and blanket, clumsily laying them on the sofa.

Yang Ming suddenly felt like something was missing beside him, and after lying on the sofa and thinking for a few seconds, he remembered he had left a crew member by Hera’s side.

Compared to these robots, 026 was naturally a more pleasant sight.

"Doesn’t Miss Hera need to rest?"

stood on tiptoe, stretching her body to look through a narrow piece of glass to see the scene in Hera’s experimental cabin.

A dozen robots in white lab coats were busy with their heads down, while Hera sat behind the lab table, frowning at a series of data, carefully analyzing something.

In the corner were several jars containing samples of Insect Race with removed limbs.

Failed to attract Miss Hera’s attention at all.

Behind 026, the butler robot held a sumptuous dinner, smiling and reminding, "Perhaps we should knock on the door."

muttered, "What if it interrupts Miss Hera’s thoughts, then what?"

"But you jumping around can also interrupt Miss Hera’s thoughts."

"That’s different," 026 muttered, "she has to look up to see me...the boss sent me to take care of Miss Hera, I can’t be negligent."

"You really are an outstanding maid," the butler robot sincerely complimented.

"Yes," 026 instantly smiled happily, then felt that something was a bit off.

She was a combat personnel on the Feinan.

How did she suddenly become a maid!

At least she should be a Combat Maid!

turned around and jumped up again for a look.

Eh? Where was Miss Hera?

The door of the experimental cabin slid open, and Hera ran out with her chest covered, and after a few steps, she stopped by a potted decoration, dry heaving with her head down.

Dry heaving, pregnancy reaction?

026’s eyes lit up, and she hurriedly rushed over.

"Miss Hera! Are you alright?"

Hera felt uncomfortable and kept shaking her head, "Take me back to my room, quick!"

026’s seemingly slender body, scooped Hera up horizontally, the spine glowing as she raced towards the direction of the room.

Hera’s body felt a bit warm, her heartbeat kept accelerating.

She groaned painfully a few times, her brows furrowed tightly, a faint green light appeared under her eyelids, but the green light quickly receded.

"Don’t contact Ming just yet," Hera looked up at 026, grabbing 026’s sleeve, "this is part of the experiment, there won’t be a problem back in the room."

was a bit bewildered.

Ahead, the cabin door opened automatically, and 026 carrying Hera rushed directly to the window side of the room.

Hera unrolled herself down, grabbing Yang Ming’s thin quilt, took a deep breath over it.

Her fever subsided quickly, 026 produced a pen-like probe, soon reading Hera’s body condition.

Obviously, this wasn’t a pregnancy reaction.

Hera’s breathing gradually calmed, she slowly turned over, gazing at 026, and whispered, "Thank you."

"You’re welcome...what happened to you?"

Hera slightly pouted, "The experiment content, but it seemed an error occurred, I attempted to influence those insect samples through myself, making them respond to my commands, but it seems I was influenced by them instead."

pinched her chin, thinking carefully, soon said:

"I think this matter should be reported to the boss, he is very concerned about your health."

"Alright, you go and report it."

Hera closed her eyes, "I’ll rest for a while."

"I’ll go send a message, remember to eat."

026’s smile seemed quite infectious, and the corner of Hera’s mouth involuntarily revealed a faint smile.

Holding Yang Ming’s thin quilt, she sat quietly, carefully recalling just now’s experiment details.

What Hera didn’t know...

Beyond the Wind Empire’s border, a transport ship was moving slowly, the ship’s body dark all over, engines turned off, but maintaining an eerie acceleration in motion.

The sleeping Yang Ming was awakened by Lyu’s call, he immediately sat up.

"Just now, 026 sent a message saying Miss Hera’s experiment encountered some accidents, her body was a bit feverish.

"The Third Pioneer there had some developments, some local criminal personnel were approaching the apartment rented by the Third Pioneer, these criminals are notorious human organ trafficking organization members, should we eliminate them?"

"Mark them, and hand them to the local police later."

Yang Ming’s brain turned rapidly.

He asked, "Do you think it’s the Second Pioneer making a move?"

"Highly likely," Lyu said slowly, "I checked their gang’s accounts, about two hours ago, they received a payment, the source was a multinational company of the New Federation."

"Then keep an eye on them," Yang Ming frowned, "did Hera experiment on herself again?"

Lyu pursed his lips, "She’s a bit crazy, I mean in terms of scientific research work, but she did conduct detailed verification, wanting to intervene in the communication system between Mother Worm and insects, thus finding a method to disrupt the Insect Swarm. If she succeeds, we can greatly reduce the harm of the Second Calamity."

Yang Ming was momentarily speechless.

"Still, she can’t joke about her body."

"Do you care a lot about Miss Hera, Boss?"

"She’s been my girlfriend for the longest time, I do have deep feelings for Hera," Yang Ming sighed, "but what she cares about the most has always been scientific work, which makes me a bit uncomfortable."

"Alright," Lyu chuckled, "those guys are starting to act."

A projection screen immediately popped up, the image was a bit blurry, but the situation could generally be seen.
