Chapter 149 Misjudgment
The man didn’t give it too much thought and just picked up the bottle to drink.
The woman, feeling hungry, helplessly picked up a dry, hard bun to eat, naturally taking a bite of bun followed by a sip of water.
She even soaked a bit of the dry bun in water and fed it to her son!

After the dwarf arrived, there was no movement for a while.
It wasn’t until late into the night when everyone in the carriage was asleep that the dwarf started smoking.
Just when Mengyu was beginning to wonder if she might have misunderstood, the dwarf finally made his move.
Originally, Mengyu’s plan was to pretend to wake up and scream for help when they tried to steal the child, so that everyone would capture the pair of human traffickers.
She kept her eyes slightly open, hidden in the shadows by the window, making it difficult to notice. So, even though she was "asleep," she could see every move the dwarf made.
Dawn broke, and the dwarf finally stood up, leaning towards the woman holding the child, and said softly, "Give me the child, help her up, quick!"
Then, Mengyu saw the woman who was called Silly woman, who was thought to have been knocked out by the drug, obediently stood up and handed over the child to the dwarf.

And then, Silly woman walked out from her seat, came over to Mengyu, and helped her up directly.
Mengyu cursed in her mind: what’s going on here?
Is this woman also a part of the human traffickers?
The middle-aged woman also came over, took Mengyu by the other arm, and together they headed for another car.
The middle-aged woman even whispered, "Will she wake up?"
Silly woman snorted softly: "She ate my bread, drank your water, and breathed in Lao San’s smoke, how could she possibly wake up?"
At that moment, there was a broadcast announcement: the next station was coming up.
It seemed they were planning to take her off the train at this stop!
The man was still asleep, slumped in his seat, but none of them bothered to wake him. The dwarf was holding Silly woman’s child, and Silly woman along with the middle-aged woman were escorting Mengyu towards the carriage door.
It was as if Silly woman had nothing to do with the man.
There was almost no interaction between the man and Silly woman.
In the beginning, he just glanced at the woman, and when she said "Mind your own business," he dropped the subject.
Later, when the man was eating a bun, he offered some to the woman, she said she didn’t want any, and the man left it at that.
Is this what normal interaction between a husband and wife looks like?
