Apocalypse: Zombie King is the Female Lead's Younger Sister Chapter 141

Meira widened her eyes in shock. "Azi, I wouldn’t know about something ..."

Laziel took a deep breath. He examined Meira’s expression, determining she was genuine enough before falling silent. He closed his eyes.

"Just go... take a rest," he muttered before standing up and walking away, leaving Meira at a loss as she stood in the dimly lit living room alone.

The candle flickered a little in the dark, and the light nearly faded. As the light went out, Meira hurriedly stood up. The darkness made her feel unsettled, as if something was watching her.

She ran out of the room.

Laziel kept tossing and turning in his sleep. He reflected on himself, realizing he was a little obsessed with proving who the culprit was, to the point he disregarded his sister’s feelings.

Now, he didn’t know how to make Zerra forgive him. She already had a lot of supplies... even Cassias occasionally brought her pearls and diamonds, or whatever he thought Zerra would like.

What else would his younger sister need from him? Not to mention, he was poor–no, destitute.

Even until he fell asleep, he was full of restlessness that night.

When Zerra woke up, she felt a lot more refreshed than usual. She also continued to ignore Laziel during the breakfast, giving him his share of the meal and moving away before he could say anything.

She hoped it would teach him a lesson. Who told him to be so stupid? She was also a little disappointed in him.

It turned out that she was still such a person in his eyes.

She turned around, pretending not to hear him. She came face to face with Arnold’s men again, whose names were Kai and Arsen–she just recently found out about that.

"Let’s go kill the mutated animals!" She clenched her fists.

With that, she opened the door and went out. Now, it became a strange sight when Kai and Arsen truly followed her...

Oh, she was actually just joking... she was too nervous and didn’t know what to say to avoid Laziel that she uttered such a cringe line.

"Miss Zerra, do you still have the explosive? Or maybe some with a timer?" Kai asked.

The three began to plan their next move, occasionally unleashing their power to ward off any mutated animals heading their way.

"You are so powerful." Arsen was taken aback. He hadn’t seen Zerra using her ability so far, only her pitchfork weapon.

It sounded strange, a girl using a pitchfork as a weapon in the apocalypse. But when the image was presented in front of his eyes–Zerra holding a pitchfork–it strangely fit.

The scene didn’t tarnish her soft appearance, just adding another flavor to her tenacity.

"That’s right." Kai nodded in agreement after they sent another group of mutated animals exploding. "What’s your secret, Miss Zerra? Don’t you have a space ability?"

Zerra tilted her head. Well, she wasn’t really qualified to say this because it was the effect of the spiritual energy, but she had to explain, "I don’t have offensive power like you two, ice and wind."

"However, my power level is high enough. I am at level four."

The two had surprised looks on their faces. "Level four?!"

It was the highest level for the current humanity. Of course, the combat experience would also affect their fighting skills, not just the level of ability.

Still, a lot of people were on the verge of breaking through to level five. Zerra even suspected Cassias actually had higher power than that.

The man was a walking cheat. She even suspected someone else had replaced him...

However, she could not confirm that for now.

"We are only level three, Miss Zerra. How are you at level four now?" They had excited looks on their faces.

Zerra felt like she was a teacher surrounded by hyperactive kindergarten kids. She coughed, "By training and absorbing energy from the crystal cores. But you have to remember this is no overnight feat. You have to be patient in order to achieve the desired result."

They nodded seriously, as if a sage had granted them expert knowledge. Zerra became more embarrassed by the second she hung out with them.

However, in order to avoid Laziel, the two were very cooperative. For the past three days, they had helped her avoid her brother smoothly.

"Zee," Laziel would usually begin.

Most of the time, he would be interrupted quickly. Kai or Arsen would come, saying they needed her for various reasons.

"Miss Zerra, do you know how this thing works?"

"Miss Zerra, can you take a look at my current power level? Is the ice cold enough?"

Slowly, Laziel realized that these two were always deliberately sabotaging him. Who didn’t know how to use scissors? And how could the ice not be cold enough when it froze the entire glass of water?

But he was also helpless. Moreover, Meira had always clung to him for the past few days. Every time Zerra saw his girlfriend, she would turn away at the slightest sign of her.

"Has anyone checked the house over there yet?" Lieutenant Colonel Dalton suddenly asked the group of ability users. Her finger pointed at the wide building ahead.

The house was very wide; it looked like a small villa.

They exchanged looks, and everyone took a deep breath. They had no idea.

If there was anyone still living inside, as long as a group of zombies did not block them, they would instantly get out of their house upon hearing their commotion. After all, the explosive sound was quite unusual.

Most of them were familiar with each other, and there was some trust, so they were willing to get out to find out what had happened. Such a thing had happened with Mr. Wells’ closest neighbours.

"We haven’t checked that one yet, Lieutenant Colonel. Should we head over there?" Darren asked. He was frowning a little, not because of the house, but because of Nyra.

She was still limping a bit, yet insisted on joining the fight. Tʜe sourcᴇ of thɪs content ɪs novelꞁire.net

Mr. Wells heard their words and hesitated a little.

"Mr. Wells, do you have something to say?"

He nodded. "Be careful. That place might have a lot of zombies... I think a lot of people were inside before the apocalypse."

"They seemed to hold some kind of party."

Hearing that, Meira’s eyes glinted thoughtfully when she glanced at Nyra. The younger one now had a strained relationship with Laziel, but the older one... Laziel still occasionally spoke with her.

Nyra also still welcomed her younger brother. On top of that, Meira hated how Darren’s presence now always lingered around her.

Didn’t she tell her to choose between Laziel and Darren before? Yet, Nyra still hung out around Darren so closely...

She bit her nails. What should her next plans be?

As the group of ability users headed toward the little villa, Meira’s eyes followed. She watched as they used harsh means to open the door.

Nyra, still limping a little and occasionally frowning at her foot. She might still be feeling some pain. Meira’s eyes lit up. She suddenly had an idea.

This time, her plan would definitely make Nyra unable to defend herself!
