Given how rare medicines were in the current times, Bai Meiyue didn’t want to share them with Yu Miaomiao. Who knows where they might keep the stock? Surely not together with the meat and vegetables.
"I will go with you," Bai Meiyue said to Lei Qian, who was already heading out of the building.
Upon hearing her remark, Lei Qian paused and turned to look at the woman behind him. He furrowed his brows and then said to Bai Meiyue, "What do you mean that you will go with me? Didn’t you hear what the doctor said to you?"
Bai Meiyue rolled her eyes. She said to Lei Qian, "Doctor Shen did say that I was weak, but she never said that I needed to stay in bed all the time. I can still go with you and find ways to hide the supplies from Yu Miaomiao, or are you going to hand everything to her just like the last time?"
"They dare!" Lei Qian snapped. Feeling furious, he was about to look for Yu Miaomiao to straighten up her act. It was fine if she wanted to snatch the food supplies from them, but she was absolutely not allowed to touch the supplements that he would bring back for his wife.
"What do you mean by ’they dare? Why are you throwing your temper around like that?" Bai Meiyue slapped the man on the back. She said to him, "How many times do I have to tell you to rein in that temper of yours? Do you think that you can go against the entire base? Don’t forget that even if you are not weak, Yu Miaomiao has a bunch of ability users who are willing to do her bidding. It would be troublesome if you go against her now, and don’t forget you have a son now."
"Then what will you do?" Lei Qian asked as he raised his brows. He rubbed the spot which Bai Meiyue had smacked and said to her, "You don’t have any skills to hide the supplies as well, so might as well forget it."
"Forget it? Forget it? How dare you say such a thing to me, Lei Qian! Who is the one pregnant here? You or me? Why can’t I go just because you said so?"
"Alright, alright. If you want to go so much, then we can go."
Lei Qian didn’t want to argue with Bai Meiyue. He could sense that Bai Meiyue was getting bored after staying at home all the time, which was why she often wanted to venture here and there even though her pregnancy was advancing. As long as there was a chance to go outside, she would rush to take it.
Though Lei Qian understood her actions, he couldn’t agree with them. What was the point of running around when her condition was ?
What was more, he was only thinking of finding enough supplies to bring back for Bai Meiyue to get healthier. He didn’t want to bring a big stock. A whimper snapped her out of her thoughts, and Bai Meiyue raised her head to look at Ciyi, who was eyeing her carefully. She looked nervous, and only then did Bai Meiyue realise that she was actually releasing spiritual energy unconsciously. With a sigh, she raised her hand and rubbed the head of the little pup. She said to her, "I am sorry."
Since Lei Qian was already gone, there was no point in making trouble. She might as well stay at home and watch everything that was happening around.
According to her usual schedule, she went to look for the main chamber of water supply and filled it before going to look for Jiang Haidai. At that time, Jiang Haidai was cooking a pot of porridge for the patients in the medical wards.

Even though the woman was pregnant, she was still cleaner and kempt than the other women who lived in the base.
