The battle between the four of them began.
Suddenly, Daimon charged at Daniel with his saw-like arms, while Baldazor attacked with his hand, now transformed into a massive blade.
Daniel was forced to block one of them with his hand and the other with his sword.
Even though he managed to push them both back, he was also thrown back with great force. But the demons didn’t back off. They returned with explosive speed, and their weapons clashed again.
"Damn it," Daniel wanted to curse but kept his composure.
He began clashing with both demons at terrifying speed, blocking Daimon’s saw-arms and Baldazor’s huge blade at the same time.
Counterattacking was incredibly difficult. They had forced him into a full defensive stance.
Their weapons clashed over and over, each strike letting out a massive shockwave.
But no one had time to listen to those sounds. When Daniel spotted a brief opening, he raised his leg and kicked Baldazor hard in the stomach.
The second demon screamed and was thrown back several meters.
That one opening was enough for Daniel to pin Daimon down. His sword strikes came down harder and faster, each one filled with terrifying power.
’How is this human so strong?’ General Daimon wanted to groan, but he didn’t have time for it.
Suddenly, Daniel frowned—he sensed something coming from behind.
He dodged on the spot and leapt several meters back.
’How? When did he even move?’ he frowned. He was sure Baldazor had just been lying on the ground in front of him a second ago.
So how did he suddenly get behind him? Could it be some kind of skill?
[ Strike of Destruction ]
Daniel’s sword lit up with destructive energy. Without giving them any chance to react, he attacked both of them with power.
Despite their strength, both demons were forced to retreat under the pressure. But Daniel had no intention of giving them time to recover.
His strikes began slicing their arms open. They screamed in pain and were thrown back.
Demons usually had a high pain threshold, but this attack was blessed by the Law of Destruction. How could some low-level demons possibly resist that?
"Damn it! Human, it’s time for you to witness our rage!" Baldazor growled as his injured arm regenerated.
[ Bone Cleaver Blades ]
Suddenly, multiple bone-made blades launched from Baldazor’s arm toward Daniel.
But Daniel didn’t do anything to stop them. Instead, he released his death energy—and the blades instantly decayed and crumbled away.
"What the hell is this?" Baldazor was horrified by the aura of death. How did his blades get destroyed so easily?
"Enough messing around. It’s time to get serious." Daniel’s expression turned cold.
Without giving them any room to breathe, he charged at both of them. A huge wave of power exploded from his body, and his destructive strikes came crashing down on Baldazor and Daimon.
Daimon growled and immediately used one of his skills to turn the tide.
[ Soul Ripping Saws ]
His saw-arms grew larger and began spinning rapidly with terrifying speed.
He charged at Daniel, trying to rip his body apart. These attacks didn’t just cut flesh—they also emitted energy that could tear through souls.
He signaled Baldazor to distract Daniel and create an opening so he could land a hit. As long as he could land even one clean strike, victory would be theirs.
Daniel quickly noticed Baldazor’s attacks becoming much heavier. Without hesitation, he used another skill to deal with it.
[ Eyes of Destruction ]
Suddenly, red beams shot out from Daniel’s eyes, piercing straight through the demon’s skull. Baldazor dropped to the ground, falling flat on his back.
"Haha, got you," Daimon grinned as the opportunity he wanted finally came, and he swung at Daniel’s neck without hesitation.
He expected the strike to cut Daniel’s neck in half and even shatter his soul with the energy it carried.
"Huh? Why are you still standing?" But unfortunately, reality didn’t match his expectations.
Not only was Daniel’s neck perfectly fine, even the soul-destroying energy didn’t seem to affect him.
"Sorry to be the one to break the bad news... but my body’s actually really tough. Way tougher than you can probably imagine. And my soul... well, let’s just say it’s even stronger than my body." Daniel laughed.
He had the Indestructible Body of Death and the Undying Soul of Dragon. If something this weak could hurt him, it would honestly be kind of funny.
The whole fight seemed foolish to him. In truth, he had underestimated the strength of the two demons—they were far more powerful than Daniel had expected, especially with those heavy, destructive attacks.
But he had also underestimated his own power.
Ever since the Pagoda, he hadn’t had a real, proper fight. Maybe his battle with Malrik could be considered a decent one.
Even then, he hadn’t used all of his hidden cards—and since that time, he had grown even stronger, especially after the completion rate of his Undying Soul of Dragon increased and he comprehended another High Law.
Before entering this fight with the two demons, he thought he might end up needing to use his Self-Transcendent Skill.
He didn’t even feel the need to use more than half of his current power.
Now he was truly certain—no Awakened below Rank A could defeat him.
As for Rank A Awakened... maybe he could defeat them if he used his Self-Transcendent Skill.
Beyond that, though, he was sure he wouldn’t stand a chance.
If he ever faced a mid-tier Rank A, that person could probably pulverize him with a single hit.
The higher the ranks, the bigger the gap between them.
Without giving Daimon a chance to think, Daniel released his death energy again—and this time, he slashed the general clean in half.
Now both of them were down. Plus, with the death energy inside their bodies, they shouldn’t be getting back up anytime soon.
Daniel turned and looked at the unknown demon covered in sand. Surprisingly, that demon hadn’t fought at all.
He had just stood there, watching the entire time.
That caught Daniel off guard. What’s going on here? Why didn’t he help his comrades at all?
"Hm? What about you guys?" Daniel frowned as he saw Baldazor and Daimon somehow managing to heal despite the death energy inside them.
"Human, I admit we underestimated you. But you underestimated us too," Baldazor growled, his expression dark.
"Hmph. This whole time, we weren’t even serious. Now it’s time you see our true power," Daimon said angrily, though there was a hidden fear in his eyes.
Daniel ignored them for a moment, then smirked.
"My bad habit of playing with my enemies always causes trouble... I let this stupid fight drag on too long. It’s time to end it." He raised The Heavens Honor.
A terrifying, vengeful aura burst out from it.
It was time to end this battle.
