A seven-colored light wreathed in white radiance shot down from the sky.
Si Yan seemed to sense it and slowly closed her eyes.
Suddenly, the heavens and earth trembled, and gentle white lights began to converge on Si Yan.
The snake Beastman put down the meat and stood beside Si Yan.

Bai Shou, who had not yet left, suddenly prostrated himself.

Only those recognized by both parts of the Legacy can become the new Beast God.

He paused for a very long moment.

Yet, it always raced wildly because of a few short words from her.
Finally, he managed a soft "Mm."
Si Yan tightened her grip on his hand, looking intently into his eyes, determined to say everything she needed to.
It looked as though the young snake Beastman before her was being compelled to listen to a lecture from his Mistress.
"There’s one more thing I really, really want to tell you."
"What is it?" His lips pressed even tighter, and his muscles tensed.
"Earlier, I told the gecko that I didn’t love you. That’s not true. I..."

The gecko looked at the two young Beastmen sitting before him.
He wore an expression of utter dismay.
Still, as they say, couples quarrel at the head of the bed and make up by the foot. Now that they’re not fighting anymore and have reconciled, that’s good too.
Si Yan, sitting to the side, asked him, "Gecko, when I first arrived in this world, Bai Feng took me for a while to a place where I experienced being twelve years old."
The gecko, having anticipated her question, replied, "That fellow exploited a loophole in the world. He originally wanted to create more opportunities for himself."
Bai Feng was, after all, an excellent High Priest who had served him for hundreds of years.
