The commanding tone left Yan Xinxin’s delicate body trembling slightly.
Seeing the man’s sharp icy gaze, she nervously stepped back two paces.
Mo Chuxi was walking toward her, but the room’s lights suddenly went out in an instant.
Yan Xinxin froze for a moment, then quickly took advantage of the darkness to retrieve the medical report from her bag, folding it into a small piece and slipping it into her pocket.

Walking so fast, she feared deeply that she would trip and fall.

No sooner had her words ended than Mo Chuxi’s steps halted abruptly.
He turned his tall figure around and pinned the flustered Yan Xinxin against the wall.
His piercing gaze, though deep and captivating, still filled Yan Xinxin with fear when she met it.
"You, Mo Chuxi, what are you doing?"
Yan Xinxin’s heartbeat skipped a beat, guilt flashing in her blinking eyes.
"I didn’t hide anything, really."
Mo Chuxi demanded in a chilling voice.
Yan Xinxin slowly lowered her hand, reluctantly passing the bag to him.
Mo Chuxi stared at her, took the bag, and opened it without hesitation.
Inside, there was only a notebook and a pen.
"See, I told you there’s nothing!"
Mustering courage, Yan Xinxin lied with an air of seriousness.
Mo Chuxi lifted his deep gaze, the faint darkness in his eyes making Yan Xinxin feel guilty once more.
He stared at her, his thin lips moving slightly.
"You think hiding it will help? Yan Xinxin, do you really believe that within my sphere of influence, I wouldn’t be able to find out what you’ve been doing at the hospital?"
Hearing his words, the peach color on Yan Xinxin’s cheeks drained away instantly.
Mo Chuxi leaned in, his powerful aura closing in around Yan Xinxin.
"Yan Xinxin, I’m giving you one last chance. Are you going to tell me, or not?"
His deep voice carried a domineering edge, and as she looked at his austere yet strikingly handsome face, Yan Xinxin couldn’t help but clutch tightly at her skirt.
She lifted her frantic, beautiful eyes to look at him, her teeth biting her lip, stubbornly refusing to utter a word.
"Fine. Since you refuse to talk, I won’t force you."
Mo Chuxi seemed to relent, releasing her from his grip and shoving the bag back into Yan Xinxin’s hands before turning away coldly.
"Yan Xinxin, you’re out of chances."
Finally realizing the gravity of the situation, Yan Xinxin hurriedly reached out to grab Mo Chuxi’s arm, but he was walking too fast. She pursued him too eagerly, tripping over herself as she clutched at Mo Chuxi’s shirt, falling to the ground with a thud right at his feet.
Mo Chuxi froze, quickly stopping to crouch down and hold Yan Xinxin, only to see her frowning in pain as her small hand clutched her abdomen.
"Yan Xinxin, are you an idiot? You can’t even walk properly. Where did you hurt yourself? Is your stomach in pain?"
"Go to the hospital..."
Struggling to breathe deeply, Yan Xinxin’s fingers tightly gripped Mo Chuxi’s shirt as she raised her slightly reddened eyes to look at the worried man.
