Yan Xinxin stood there in a daze, frozen in panic, only reacting when Mo Chuxi stood up.
She lifted her wide-eyed, astonished gaze, staring blankly at Mo Chuxi’s aloof and handsome figure as he walked away, her right ear burning and turning an alarming shade of red.
She finally realized—Mo Chuxi had purposely dropped something just now!
And what she dared not recall was the phrase Mo Chuxi had whispered in her ear just moments ago.
As she wrestled with her scattered thoughts, Yan Xinxin caught a side-eyed glare from Ling Siyu, who was seated diagonally in front of her.
Yan Xinxin remained calm as she looked at her, though she already guessed that Ling Siyu had likely witnessed the brief interaction between Mo Chuxi and herself.
Two class periods quickly passed.
The crisp sound of the dismissal bell echoed as everyone began to leave the classroom one after another. The girls slowed their steps on purpose, just to catch a few extra glimpses of their Teacher Mo.
"Hey, Xinxin, wasn’t that bouquet of roses given to you by Teacher Mo?"
Lan Xuan hugged her textbooks and sidled up to Yan Xinxin, asking mischievously.
Yan Xinxin shook her head.
"Then I’d say you’re in deep trouble!"
Lan Xuan raised an eyebrow at Yan Xinxin, looking quite serious.
"I totally felt it earlier—Teacher Mo was absolutely pissed!"
Yan Xinxin could not refute it; Mo Chuxi was indeed upset. The words he had spat into her ear were proof enough.
"Ugh! Only two exams left, it’s gone by so fast! Soon we’ll be interning!"

As she chatted with Lan Xuan, Mo Chuxi’s cold voice suddenly hit her ears.

"Not planning to take your bouquet of roses?"
After delivering this icy statement, Mo Chuxi grabbed his stack of test papers and turned to leave the classroom. But that glance he cast her before leaving—chilling to the bone!
Yan Xinxin walked to the podium. Before picking up the bouquet, she noticed the card attached to it.

Her chin lifted arrogantly as she glared at Yan Xinxin.
Yan Xinxin calmly returned her gaze.
"If you’ve got something to say, just say it here."
"What’s wrong? Are you scared? Too chicken to follow me?"
Ling Siyu taunted, attempting to provoke her.
"You think you’re so impressive, huh? Just because you know Young Master Mo, you don’t even respect A-list actresses? You’re so desperate for fame, you’d fabricate rumors of a big star bullying you?"
Ling Siyu smirked in disdain, crossing her arms.
"Yan Xinxin, let me remind you—next time you go out shopping, you’d better watch your back. With all the fans Mu Qianshui has, they could each throw a dollar at you and bury you alive!"
Yan Xinxin finally understood.
"So you’re one of Mu Qianshui’s fans? If you all plan to throw money at me, just give me a heads-up beforehand—I’ll make sure to bring a big burlap sack to collect my fortune."
Ling Siyu glared at Yan Xinxin, incensed.
"A word of warning! Stop being so shamelessly flirtatious with Young Master Mo. If it weren’t for your pathetic, attention-seeking antics, Young Master Mo wouldn’t even consider glancing at you when he could have picked me!"
She shot Yan Xinxin a disdainful look, her expression full of malice, before arrogantly turning to leave.
But the moment she turned around, she froze in place, as if struck by lightning!
There, just a short distance away, stood Mo Chuxi, dressed in a black shirt and holding a stack of test papers!
