Blood apostle Chapter 81

The winds outside the temple screamed like dying stars.

Dust peeled from the black dunes as the sky above Nightfell fractured—thin cracks of void energy spider-webbing from a growing rift overhead. Reality strained like glass bent too far.

Inside the ruined temple, Kiro knelt before the chained Naught, his skin soaked with blood and sweat. His heart beat to a new rhythm—one the stars no longer recognized.

"Again," the Naught growled.

Kiro gritted his teeth, driving his palm into the cracked stone floor. Viora threads burst from his core, dancing wildly—but they splintered, chaotic, uncontrollable.

The backlash slammed him into a wall.

He coughed blood, vision spinning. "It's too fast."

"There is no time," the Naught snapped, its voice layered with ages. "You do not have years. You have hours."

Kiro looked up.

Outside, above Nightfell's dreaming sky, a storm of mouths and bones twisted between dimensions. The Warlord Voidling was nearly through—its claws scraping against the membrane between Dream and Flesh.

It would not wait.

"The Warlord has located this dream-core," the Naught said. "When it pierces the rift, it will obliterate this place and anchor its corruption to the mortal plane. If that happens..." It gestured, and a flame of black prophecy burned in the air. "Your world becomes a harvest ground."

Kiro's fists clenched.

"I need more strength."

The Naught stepped down from its dais, ancient chains dragging behind.

"You do not need more strength," it whispered. "You need precision."

It raised one hand—and suddenly the air bent.

Time slowed.

Light peeled away from form. Shadows folded inward. And all around Kiro, the temple disappeared, replaced by a void of swirling Viora streams—rivers of power arcing through nothingness.

"This is the Weave," the Naught said. "The inner map of life, death, and becoming. Viora flows here, not as a weapon, but as a language."

Kiro stood within it, eyes wide.

And for a moment... he saw.

Not just the threads—but their pattern. Their rhythm. Their intention.

"Focus," the Naught breathed. "Command it. Let it feel you."

Kiro extended his hand.

The threads shivered.

And this time... they moved with him.

Not forced. Not torn.

Invited.

They curved, converged—and with a silent burst of light, formed a blade made of molten blood and starlight.

The Naught smiled. "You are learning."

Above – The Rift Nears Collapse

The Voidling Warlord pressed a claw into the breach.

Its mouths whispered in forgotten tongues.

The membrane tore.

The sky bled.

Nightfell – Temple Edge

Time snapped back to normal.

Kiro collapsed to one knee, sweat pouring down his face.

"I'm ready," he said.

The Naught's chains tightened.

"Not yet. You have enough to survive. Not to win."

Kiro looked up. "Then let me survive long enough to learn more."

The Naught paused. Then extended its hand.

From the darkness behind its throne, a ship began to rise—formed from carved bone, star-forged metal, and Viora crystal. The helm burned with the mark of the First Dreamer.

"A relic from the war of gods," the Naught said. "It is yours now."

Kiro stepped forward.

"Where does it go?"

The Naught turned toward the skies.

"To the outer world," it whispered. "To the edge of forgotten stars. There, in orbit of a dead titan, lies the God-Spoken Archive. A place the Thirteen forbade. A place even the Void dares not break."

Kiro felt the ship's pulse echo through his blood.

"And what will I find there?" he asked.

The Naught looked down at him.

"Truths that will kill you."

The ground trembled.

Above, the Warlord began to descend.

And Kiro took his first step toward the Archive.
