The fight began. Both sides charging at each other. each one having their weapons gripped tightly. Those with guns opened heavy fire on each other, most shots fired hitting their intended target as the foot soldiers relented with their attacks.
The Blood Mutants swiftly transformed with Skyler by their side already in her Hog-like beast form with her body energized with Eneraflux. Positioned at the frontline with them was Ace’s army, consisting of Sixty-six warriors led by the Six Upper Warrior Rank on Ace’s behalf.
At full speed, the Humans and Blood Warriors decimated the Ethisian numbers quicker than the Ethisians could counter attack. The superior Blood Skills and vicious character, along with the fear instilled by their status as Blood Mutants, eventually overwhelmed the Ethisians, causing some to hesitate while others retreated. Ace, Cherry, and Skyler took the lead, massacring the Ethisians, each killing almost ten at once. The Granians followed behind, finishing off any Ethisians the Humans left behind.
As the fight continued, the attackers gained the upper hand once the Blood Mutants destroyed the last of the Ethisians’ war vehicles. With no further support available, the Ethisians were at the mercy of the Granians. Despite their larger numbers, they were overpowered, largely due to the fear induced by the two Blood Mutants and surprisingly, Skyler. The sight of a human transforming into monstrous forms did more harm than good to the Ethisians.
In the end, the Granians emerged victorious, although nearly a quarter of their forces were killed. The planet was recaptured from the Ethisians, and its inhabitants were allowed to return to their previous lives, under the watchful dictatorship of the Granians.
As for the Blood Mutants, the fight enabled them to unlock and learn new skills and granted Ace with a bumper harvest.

Of the three items, the last one sparked Ace’s curiosity the most, immediately prompting him to select it. As soon as he did so, his mind was transported into a dark space with a large mound of matter that resembled a piece of muscle soaked in blood. Its sides and bottom dripped with a black substance slowly moving downwards. The center had a network of blood-like webs and veins creeping on each other, a display that would trigger those with tropophobia.
[Vorathrax’s Elixir of Ascendance] A deep voice, belonging to a being millions of years ahead of Ace and everyone else he had encountered so far, resonated in the dark space, almost as if it were coming from the black substance in front of him.
"Blood Bishop," it spoke more directly to him. "You seek to use my power for yourself. Why is that?"
"To win this war," Ace lied at first but then opted to tell the truth. After all, if Vorathrax knew that his power was going to be used to avenge his and every other Blood Mutant’s death, he would be more than willing to grant it to Ace. "And to kill the Granians."
"This petty urge to shed blood has no business with me," he sneered, unbothered by Ace’s wishes. "None of that interests me in..."
"It most certainly does," Ace humbly argued while still pleading his case. "I had a brief history of what the Granians did to you and your kind, to your kingdom. As we speak, I and a few of my comrades were unwillingly turned into killing machines using your people’s power. The rest died due to reasons you know best."
"And?" the being asked, still not amused by Ace’s plea. "If the Blood Mutant race is gone, so be it. There’s no reason to try to revive it again. The Council will just send more to destroy us."
"Then allow me to defend that name," he replied, bowing toward the black substance before him. "As we speak, the Granians are the most feared race in this galaxy, and yet every enemy I fight trembles at my presence. This tells me something. Blood Mutants were once the true epitome of fear, and now that the Granians have turned you into nothing but their dogs, that title has moved onto them. But with your power and the knowledge that I’m slowly obtaining, I can restore that name, avenge the Blood Mutants that were killed, and create a new kingdom from the blood of your and my enemies."
After a few moments of silence, a blinding scarlet glow emerged from the black substance and hovered above Ace. Having a malevolent aura surrounding it, the Blood Bishop felt partially uneasy and nearly backed out. Despite this, he pushed through, waiting for Vorathrax’s response.
