BLOOD MUTANT SYSTEM. Chapter 331

For a moment, the War between the Granians and Ethisians came to a temporary halt, giving the two sides a chance to regain what they lost and strengthen their armies, battalions, and weaponry.

In such preparations, one could notice the amounts of enemy ships moving across the Galaxy in search of minerals, resources, and War slaves needed for the production of ships, weaponry, bases, fortresses, and other things used/needed in War.

The Ethisians, the only ones capable of going toe-to-toe with the Granians, had stumbled upon a poison used by their Yrrejite allies which had managed to cause tissue damage to one of the Humans who was a slave to the Granians.

Upon this discovery, plans were made to have said poison mass-produced, despite how difficult it was to retrieve it from the source. Nonetheless, the Ethisians weren’t going to let such a difficulty stop them from achieving their goal. They felt obligated to defeat the Granians once and for all, not just for them but for every other species in Akrina that was tormented and tortured by said Granians.

For that reason, the Ethisians made sure to invest their resources into anything and everything that would help them win the battle.

While the Ethisians invested their time and energy in gathering resources they saw fit, their enemies, the Granians, began strategizing and plotting their next moves, signaling the start of the War as they knew it.

For weeks, the Granians remained at a standstill directly at the border separating their territory from the Ethisians. This strategy was well known across Akrina and was often used as a sign to other species that a War was about to break out.

Now under new management, the Granians, now commanded by Lord Gravax, had taken up new strategies with a few members earning new positions while others were stationed among other fleets.

Since Gravax and his army of twenty thousand units were the ones charged with leading the attack, he opted to keep the strongest Humans with him while sending the other three elsewhere. According to his own judgment, the Granian kept Ace and Jim within his forces while positioning Anya, Skyler, and Cherry with the soldiers assigned to follow Gravax and his forces immediately.

Aside from stationing soldiers and the Humans, Gravax had indulged himself and his soldiers in tedious hours of training with Eneraflux and cloning

The Granian, impressed by the Yrrejites and their mastery of the cloning arts, had invested so much of his time and effort in cloning his own troops. To a certain extent, the new Lord had become so immersed in the act that he nearly lost sight of what was important. If it weren’t for the frustrations that came with his constant trial and error, the Granian would have gotten so lost in trying to clone his own kind and lost his new position as Lord faster than he got it.

Thankfully, there was another who, in Gravax’s eyes, exceeded even the Yrrejites in his cloning abilities. The Blood Bishop, Ace Underwood, became the Granian’s new study material for he was able to create clones solely from blood without the use of any machinery or complex chemicals.

This process, though simple, was beyond impossible for the Granian to comprehend all at once but that wasn’t going to stop him just yet. Instead of pestering and nagging the Human to show him how to clone, the Granian instead decided to watch and observe how Ace conjured, crafted, and commanded all his clones starting from the Blood Clones, to the Soulbound DreadWalkers, to the Scarlet Army.

Now putting that aside, it was time for the Granians to commence with their attack, something that would have begun a long time ago had it not been for the careless and selfish failures of the former Lord.

Hoping to rectify Grim’s mistakes and surpass him, Gravax made sure to perform a little higher while keeping the Black Claw by his side acting as an advisor. The former Lord, now on the same rank as Grand Master, was now forced to reveal all of his strategies, tactics, and battle tricks/habits to his new Lord under the commandment of Lord Grania himself. Failure to do so meant immediate banishment for the Granian and most likely, the death of his unborn child. For that reason, Grim spilled every trick, every secret, and every tactic he knew in hopes that he’d be reunited with his mate and child perhaps after the War had ended or somewhere in its climax.

"All our troops are at the border and have been stretched evenly. Our defenses are practically impenetrable with more troops joining in as the days go by. I have implemented the use of temporary clones the same way you two did when launching an attack on Earth. With the clones acting as bait, we’ll use a diversionary tactic combined with a rapid dominance attack.

"While the clones keep the enemy occupied, we’ll move in quickly and swiftly with an aerial attack around their fortresses. Once that is settled, our real soldiers will be led into the fortresses and finish off any survivors that the Blood King and Bishop hadn’t done away with. Once that is settled, a thorough sweep will be conducted and any remaining survivors will either become prisoners of War, slaves, or blood banks for the Mutants. Any suggestions?"

Situated in a dimly lit room were Lord Gravax, Grand Master, Grim, Ace, Jim, and a few leading Granians all listening to the new Lord giving his battle strategy. The planet of choice they wished to attack was one rich in resources and beasts which, if captured, would provide fuel, energy cores, and food for their troops.

having listed his strategy, Gravax waited for those present to suggest what they would do if they were in his position. To his surprise, no one, not even Grim, opened their mouth to speak. They all stood still as if they agreed with his strategy, all except for Jim who had some bit of knowledge when it came to military strategies and planning.

"Using the temporary clones is a somewhat clever strategy but it will not be as effective. During the attacks on Earth, we could tell the difference between the clones and the real Granians by the pigmentation of their scales and the way they conducted themselves. Your clones are quite aggressive and move wildly. They don’t think for themselves which makes them perfect for slaughter bags of meat. However..."

The Human turned his fingers into claws, grabbed one of the Granians closest to him and gently ran his claw against their tough scales. he did this repeatedly and only managed to take out the upper parts of the scales, sparing the Granian a fresh wound.

"The clones are much softer than the real Granians so they’ll be killed easily. I bet just one stone thrown at them with precision and strength will do more than enough damage. We’ll need to give them armor or..."

"Our resources are only reserved for the soldiers." Grim interrupted quickly. "We can’t spare any pieces of armor for mere clones."

"That is true, but..." Gravax grinned while looking at Ace, a genius idea entering his mind, "...we don’t need to give them armor when they can fight after dying, right Ace?"
