Andriel’s appearance was not as evil and bizarre as his spells; instead, he was quite handsome.
His skin was very pale, his eyes and hair both a dark green color, emitting a faint luminescence, like the seaweed growing in the endless, serene deep-sea, or like ghost flames burning in the graves at night.
Andriel stood in the grey void, his pure black magic robe spreading out like the night, his whole being emanating an evil, cold, and overbearing aura.
At this moment, around the four grey-white stone pillars, there were at least dozens of wizards gathered, but all of their auras were suppressed by him alone, causing them to feel as though they were standing at the foot of a mountain, looking up at the peak.
Everyone looked at Andriel with unsightly expressions; in the Ancient Fairy City, more than twenty of the grey-white stone pillars representing the thirty-two genius seats had been activated.
Among them, some of the stone pillar occupants had already gone through one or even several changes of hands.
This was one of the rules: before the first round of the power struggle was completely over, anyone could attempt to challenge, and only those still standing on the stone pillars at the end would be truly seated.
Andriel’s current behavior was also within the limits allowed by the rules.
In the history of the Southern Region, there had been situations where Heramus’s thirty-two genius seats had not been completely filled, but never had there been someone as deliberate and arrogant as Andriel, audaciously wishing to occupy four seats at once, forcibly depriving some latecomers of their qualification to take a seat.
Under the oppressive atmosphere, suddenly, a figure stepped forward.
A sharp, crystalline, and radiant light burst forth from his body, condensing into a massive half-moon blade in the air, instantly slicing through layers of energy fields, striking towards Andriel, who was surrounded by grey clouds and skulls.
After this wizard launched a strong attack, several qualified Level 3 Wizards on the field almost simultaneously made their move.
Amidst the chaos, a scoff echoed in the arena.
"As Level 3 Wizards, why fear him?"
"Andriel, it’s time you paid the price for your arrogance!"
Many seemed to be persuaded, and in a blink of an eye, powerful magic domains expanded and rose throughout the field; the chanting of spells, the fluctuations of activated magic tools... A multitude of powerful spells rippled rapidly through the air, all targeting Andriel alone.
Facing the onrush of dense spells, like a tsunami of energy surging towards him, Andriel’s face showed no trace of emotion.
He merely tilted his neck slightly and then a vicious and cruel smile emerged on his pale, handsome face.
"Really... courting death!"
The giant skulls swirling around Andriel rapidly spun, then quickly split apart, each skull’s eye sockets firing intense beams of energy.
Dense beams tore through vast expanses of the void, almost instantly staining half of the sky a ghastly green color.
Green beams collided with each spell, the vast majority of spells shattering upon mere contact.
Only a few spells broke through the barriers of beams, drawing close to the range of grey clouds surrounding Andriel.
Andriel’s pupils were almost completely taken over by the green light, and he opened his mouth as if to roar but no sound emerged.
Over a dozen giant skulls encircling him roared in unison, their mouths releasing even thicker and more refined energy beams.
Dozens of intertwining beams, the formidable Magic Domain Qi Mechanism gushed forth, forming an immense, terrifying invisible field around Andriel in an instant.
A slight stir within the field’s formidable Qi Mechanism shattered the intruding spells, instantly dissipating them into nothingness.
At this moment, Andriel seemed to stand in a dense green ocean of shadows, the Undead Series energy forming a vast whirlpool around him, frantically devouring and tearing apart everything in its vicinity.
This terrifying might made all nearby Level 3 Wizards shudder, with at least half of them losing heart, choosing to retreat.
Even those standing on the activated stone pillars were drawn to Andriel’s display of horrifying strength, casting their gazes upon him.
Some eyes flickered, some expressions tensed, clearly already calculating their odds of victory against him in their minds.
The battle on the field continued, only now it was Andriel’s turn to strike.
Surrounded by an energy field vast as the ocean, Andriel stepped forward.
His hair, reaching down to his ankles, was lifted entirely, wildly dancing behind him and around him, his green eyes flashing with a cold, devilish glow.
Andriel made a gesture of raising his hand; within the dark green Energy Domain, numerous flickers of light rose, instantly transforming into a gigantic green bone hand.
On the green bone hand, the Qi Mechanism of the Magic Domain almost solidified into chain-like forms, slightly swaying to directly crush a piece of the void.
The speed was astonishingly fast; in the blink of an eye, a cluster of grey clouds wrapped around a light orb was blasted with a loud bang, the hidden Level 3 Wizard within’s Magic Domain Force Field and Energy Shield shattered, a stifled groan escaping as he, like a kite with a snapped string, was sent flying backwards...
The remaining wizards, who still attempted to contend with Andriel, were alarmed at this scene. Without a second word, they immediately retreated; but their retreat speed simply couldn’t keep up with the terrifying speed of the bone hand’s swings.
One by one silhouettes flew horizontally, their auras collapsing, their forms becoming blurred in mid-air, leaving behind only colorful orbs of light flying towards Andriel’s direction.
