Bloodline of the Wizard Chapter 70

Chapter 70: Chapter 63: No One Will Mourn Your Death Chapter 70: Chapter 63: No One Will Mourn Your Death “Boom!”

A huge Energy Light Ball violently exploded, creating a visibly massive circle of white waves that hurl nearby Skeleton Warriors like straw blown away.

Ronan put down his Magic Wand, gazing steadily ahead.

Before him, a completely cleared straight path emerged.

At the end of the path, there was a battle group with a large gap open, and in the center of the battle group were two faces full of shock and bewilderment.

“What are you dazing for?

Startled by the power of the recent Energy Missile, Reiny and the Hook-nosed Wizard came to their senses and rushed towards him like mad.

With Ronan’s current strength as a Level 9 Apprentice, even without activating the Magic Domain, the casually cast Energy Missile was still terrifyingly powerful, capable of instantly killing a host of Advanced Zero Rank Spells.

Both Reiny ran desperately to Ronan.

The Hook-nosed Wizard was out of breath, his face still shocked, but his eyes kept fixed on the Magic Wand in Ronan’s hand.

First Rank Magical Tool?!”

Ronan couldn’t be bothered with him, just focusing on escaping.

The ignored Hook-nosed Wizard felt slightly ashamed, but with a cluster of Skeleton Warriors doggedly chasing after them, he could hardly say anything more.

After all, these were uncontrolled Undead Servants; although they were comparable to Intermediate Apprentices in strength, their reactions were slow and movements not very agile, eventually increasing the distance with the trio.

Just as the three were about to escape the graveyard, a diverging path appeared in the distance.

The path directly ahead was the same as the one they had traversed before, only now it was covered with a hazy white fog, making it hard to see clearly ahead.

The other path, at first glance, was strikingly red and before even getting close, a strong smell of blood hit them.

Without any hesitation, the Hook-nosed Wizard, who took the role of the leader, spoke authoritatively: “This way!”

Then, without waiting for Ronan and the other’s consent, he charged down the path straight ahead.

Ronan frowned but said nothing, following with Reiny.

Not long after the three stepped into the misty path, the mist surged violently as if something disturbed had awakened, yet no other noises ensued.

Ronan always felt something was amiss, slowing his pace and squinting into the distance only to suddenly notice a pitch-dark shadow rapidly spreading towards them.

Thoughts of the chaotic night in the town flashed through Ronan’s mind…

Ronan abruptly stopped and shouted, “Don’t go forward, it’s dangerous!”

Reiny, who had been closely following him, halted almost immediately after Ronan stopped.

The leading Hook-nosed Wizard, however, kept charging ahead as if he hadn’t heard anything, only gradually stopped after a while.

And just this small amount of extra distance he intentionally ran, to maintain the “leader’s” face, made him practically rush into the large encroaching shadow.

Ronan thought he heard the sound of an extremely sharp blade cutting through the air.

The last time he faced this spell was at night; he hadn’t seen the full form of the spell.

Now, he finally saw it clearly—

A thick shadow producing two large, semi-illusory scythes, as if held by an invisible giant hand…

The Energy Protective Shield of the Hook-nosed Wizard, only about seven or eight meters away from him, shattered quietly under the black scythe’s attack like a fragile eggshell, followed by the Hook-nosed Wizard himself, mouth slightly open, silently split into four neat sections…

Blood and viscera flowed out profusely.

The immense visual shock, coupled with the fear of the unknown, made the Young Wizard Reiny vomit right there.

Ronan quickly muttered “Go,” then without hesitation turned back and dashed to the fork in the path, gritting his teeth as he plunged in.

“How…how do you know so much about the Black Robe’s methods?!”

Suppressing the nausea, Reiny, now crawling and rolling, caught up with Ronan; his face pale, he asked.

After a moment of silence, Ronan replied: “I’ve killed a few…

Reiny stiffened, his face flashing with shock and disbelief, but recalling the Energy Missile Ronan had just used to relieve them, it somehow made sense.

He stuck closely behind Ronan, daring not to utter another word.

Walking on a path seemingly paved with countless viscera, each step in his deer leather boots squeezed out a mix of corpse-fluid and fresh blood.

Ronan was on high alert, cautiously advancing step by step.

At this moment, he was certain that the Wizard Fa Ao’s words on their way here were all lies.

Easy and simple, just come in, set some fires, do a little damage…

The stream of dangers they just encountered, if faced by any ordinary Wandering Wizard, would’ve likely led to multiple deaths already.

“No wonder he got on so well with Linus…

all the same kind, cold and malicious…”

Wizard Fa Ao probably never cared for the lives of the twenty-five Wandering Grey Robes; his comforting words on the way were just to coax them into entering the Secret Realm willingly, after which everyone’s life and death were none of his concern.

Ronan’s expression darkened, continuously strategizing his next move in his mind.

He didn’t know whether to go deeper; if they tried to head back now, they couldn’t avoid the white mist, shadows, and the graveyard full of Skeleton Warriors.

He alone might break through these obstacles, but he now had Reiny following him…
