Gu Qiangwei returned the smile, watching as the figures of mother and son disappeared at the entrance of the private room.
In an instant, the low-key luxurious private room was left with only Nangong Mingchuan and Gu Qiangwei.
Staring at the beautiful woman before him, knowing she might be Feifei’s rival in love, Nangong Mingchuan found he couldn’t harbor any animosity towards her.
“Are your parents from Jingcheng?”

Yet, his question left Gu Qiangwei unsure how to respond.
She lowered her head, “My parents have been gone for a long time.”
Nangong Mingchuan was taken aback, not expecting his first question to be such a sensitive one, feeling a bit apologetic.
“It’s alright, it’s been a long time,” Gu Qiangwei replied, lifting her head with a smile of letting go.
Nangong Mingchuan nodded, as if he thought of something, he then asked.
“So now, are you alone?”
Gu Qiangwei looked up at Nangong Mingchuan, then dropped her gaze again.
“No, I… I’m married.”
