Looking up, he saw Qin Sijue sitting by the bed from behind. He stood up and walked towards the heart monitor, checking on Gu Qiangwei again, whose heart rate was surprisingly better than last night.
He furrowed his brows, hoping there wouldn’t be another cardiac arrest.
Qin Sijue asked without even looking up.
"The condition is much better than last night."
Only then did Qin Sijue look up, a flicker of movement in his eyes, "Will she wake up?"
"This, I cannot guarantee."
Qin Sijue turned away his eyes, asking no more.
Seeing him for the first time looking so haggard it was almost unrecognizable, Li Yuan couldn’t help but speak, "You, why not go back for a while?"
Li Yuan pursed his lips, not forcing him, and turned to leave the hospital room.
At seven forty, Huo Yishan brought breakfast and returned to the hospital room, seeing only Qin Sijue.
After freshening up and changing into a new set of clothes, Li Yuan returned to the hospital room. After last night’s emergency, he dared not step away from the hospital room for anything unnecessary.
"What’s the situation with Qiangwei now, has she come out of danger?" Huo Yishan asked, looking at Li Yuan.
Li Yuan pressed his lips together, his gaze shifting toward Gu Qiangwei, "It’s still hard to say right now, but her condition is indeed much better than yesterday. Moreover, it has been five hours since and there has been no recurrence of heart stoppage."
He turned to Huo Yishan, the anxiety visible in his eyes last night was not there, clearly Gu Qiangwei’s condition had indeed improved.
Yet the worry still lingered, as no one knew whether she would wake up or not.
Glancing around, he noticed the breakfast on the round table.
From last night till now, he hadn’t had anything to eat, and as a grown man, he was indeed a bit hungry.
He walked over, turning his head to look at Qin Sijue, "Sijue, do you want to come over and eat something? You didn’t eat last night either, right?"
"Eat yours, I’m not hungry."
Li Yuan sighed, not forcing him, and directly started eating the breakfast.
Huo Yishan suddenly slapped his hand away.
Startled, he looked up at her, "What are you doing?"
"Qiangwei hasn’t woken up, and you still have the appetite for breakfast!?" She definitely couldn’t eat!

"I..." Huo Yishan was stumped, she had just instinctively bought breakfast after waking up and seeing both men looking so worn out, actually, this breakfast was meant for him and Qin Sijue to eat, but seeing him eat made her feel he was heartless!
Seeing her speechless, Li Yuan didn’t bother with her further and just picked up a sandwich to start eating, all the while eyeing her angry and helpless expression.
People need food as iron needs steel, only after eating could he muster the strength to be an angel saving Qiangwei!
Huo Yishan glared at him and reluctantly walked to the side, planning to sit down by the bed.
But as she turned around, her keen sense of smell picked up a scent, and it was emanating from her own body.
It was the smell of sweat!
It must have been from last night when Qiangwei nearly passed away.
"I’m going back to shower, then I’ll come back!"
She told Li Yuan and turned to leave the hospital room.
"Don’t come back after your shower, just get some rest!" He knew she had stayed up the entire night. Although she had dozed off occasionally, sleeping in the sofa wasn’t really restful, especially under those circumstances where it was impossible to sleep properly.
Huo Yishan glanced at him and left without responding.
