Putting down her phone, Gu Qiangwei looked up at Qin Sijue’s unhappy face.
"A little kid, and he’s that interesting to talk to?"
Gu Qiangwei detected the sour tone in his voice, took a pillow and began playing with it on her lap, "Well, Xi and I just get along well."
Qin Sijue frowned, as if suddenly remembering something, shifted towards her, and said with a knitted brow, "You get along so well, don’t you feel that there’s something different between you two?"
Gu Qiangwei looked at him, "What’s different? We just click."
Qin Sijue stared at her for about half a minute before speaking again, "You two are very alike."
Gu Qiangwei was taken aback, her dark pupils falling on his face.
She knew what he was implying, but she always found this idea somewhat absurd.
If Tang Yuyan really was her long-lost mother, how could she not recognize her upon seeing her again? Even if she couldn’t remember, she should at least know she had a daughter before, right?
The Nangong family is so powerful and influential; investigating her existence would not be difficult.
"Don’t bring this up again in the future."
The more he said it, the more it made her doubt herself.
But Tang Yuyan really didn’t remember her at all, always thinking this way made it seem like she was eager to connect with the Nangong family.
