Gu Qiangwei looked up and glanced at her mother, "It’s nothing, I’m calling Qin Sijue."
With that, she took her phone and walked to the window to dial Qin Sijue’s number.
The phone rang for a long time, but no one answered.
Staring at the screen that remained calm as before, Gu Qiangwei’s heart felt an unexplainable restlessness stirring within.
Perhaps he was busy, so he didn’t return her call?
She remembered that in the past, during meetings at the company, he would occasionally leave his phone outside the conference room, hence not answering her calls.

Tang Yuyan’s gaze had been fixed on her as she walked to the window, made the call, and due to no response, walked back.
Seeing the hint of gloom on her daughter’s face, Tang Yuyan knew she was worried about Qin Sijue.
Gu Qiangwei looked up, glanced at her mother, nodded, and her anxiety became more apparent, "Yes, he must be busy."
With such a big issue at hand, he must be tremendously busy; how could he have time to answer her call? If he did, he would surely have called her back.
And Tang Yuyan thought so too.
Looking at her daughter, she softly soothed, "Don’t worry, with such a big issue, he must be too busy to answer the phone."
Listening to her mother’s comforting words, Gu Qiangwei looked up and smiled reassuringly, not wanting her mother to worry, "Yes!"
At that moment, Nangong Mingchuan also spoke, "Weiwei, it’s getting late, I’ll take you home."
"I’d rather stay here. After all, Qin Sijue isn’t home, and I would be alone if I went back."

Hearing this, Gu Qiangwei couldn’t help but glance at the sofa where Nangong Mingchuan sat.
There was only one hospital bed in the room, and her mother would sleep with Xixi at night. Naturally, the sofa was reserved for her father; thinking this over, indeed, if she stayed, her father would have nowhere to sleep.
